I believe the last box in this series is now gone. There is a playground and refreshment/bathroom building where I believe the old soda machines once were. Lovely zoo but

Been eyeing this series for awhile..used to visit this wonderful little zoo as a child in the early '70 so was excited to return here and find your boxes...sadly Penguin and Rhino are now gone as well, but was super exicited to find the soul surviving box, the zebra! Soda machines have moved. You want to look around the corner of the building where the bathrooms are located! Was pretty out in the open so was even more surprised it was still there! (geeked-out exciting LB moment!)..re-hid better than found!

I grew up in Racine and the kids and I thought this would be a nice one to do. The zoo sure has expanded since the last time I was there. We tried so hard to find them all. Are some of them actually missing? Please let me know, we would like to try them again!!

We had a blast looking for these boxes. The area near the giraffes has been turned into a play area so we were wondering if that is why we couldn't find that one. The rhino stamp and book were soaking wet. Would love to know if any of the others are found so we can try again!

Stamps and stamp bags were drenched in orange ink from a previous boxer, but we cleaned them pretty well. Beautiful day to visit my hometown zoo. I haven't been there since it was free! (Gate price is now upped to $6 per adult.) Bummed we couldn't find the bear or lion. Both looked like their hiding spots had been washed away...perhaps by the recent hurricane weather. Hope they are safe. Let us know if they are still around. We will return! :)
