Actually this event is Mn8x's. I've failed to make contact but will gladly relinquish hosting so it can be done right. Since I don't know how to set this up right, the rules and regulations of the past are void. There will be no competition or counting; if you plant a box of any type, even with restrictions, you're gold. I'm a history buff so I'm doing this for the sake of continuity.

Event Info
We came up with the idea for this day way back in 2006. At first it was a to see if we could break the AQ record for the number of new boxes posted on AQ in one day. And we did! Now we just celebrate for the fun of it! The idea is to get out there on the event day and plant letterboxes in your area. Then post the clues on AQ. So, it's not really a get together, "face-to-face" event. But more of a get together "in-spirit" kind of thing. Just think of all those letterboxers out at the same time on an international planting spree!

By spree I think we mean lots of letterboxers, not lots of letterboxes. Better to have one letterbox that takes people to an interesting spot, than a hundred dull ones.
