Description

Announcing the 11th Annual Tucson, Arizona Letterboxer Gathering on Sunday, February 8, 2015 from 9AM - 4PM (or whenever everyone is done boxing).
This year the gathering is going to be held at Freedom Park - Ramada #1, located at 5200 E. 29th St.
The theme is Freedom... Colors of red, white and blue.

The Ramada is located at the southern most end of the park. There is a horse shoe driveway through the park that you can follow to find parking just steps away from the ramada.
There are bathrooms, water fountains, plenty of picnic tables, and plenty of big trees to provide shade if you just want to relax in a chair and chat with other letterboxers.
While the park itself is not a great place to hide boxes it is located just steps away from a walking path along Golf Links Road. The path is located just south of the ramada that we will be at and the path has plenty of desert on each side of the path for hiding our letterboxes.

This just in...... There will be HIPS boxes and some special event boxes coming in For our gathering.

**** Something we forgot to mention... and thanks for Squatchis for reminding me... don't forget you are invited to carve and plant some of your own boxes for the event. Just remember to bring print out of the clues with you on the day of the gathering so everyone can have some exciting boxes to find.

As usual the Tucson Gem & Mineral Show will be going on in Tucson during this weekend so plan ahead if you are coming in from out and need a hotel room.

We will have a pot luck as usual... but this year we will change it up just a bit with a BBQ since there is a great big grill at the park for us to use. The organizers will provide the hamburgers, hot dogs, and vegi burgers for those for RSVP and indicate they are vegetarian.

We've got a really cool looking event stamp designed and being carved. If you have any questions please let us know. We hope to see you all on 2-8-2015!

As we gear up for another AMAZING gathering, what better way to get things started than a pre-event meet and greet. Come and join us at El Corral at 2201 E. River Rd. at 6 p.m. for lots of food, fun and exchanging prior to the event so we can go box, box, box on the day of the event.

This weekend is the gathering.
It looks like we are going to have terrific weather.

Hi everyone! I am making some letterboxes for my brother's wedding weekend in the fall, and I want to design an event stamp, but my artistic skills are not up to the task.
