Dug around in the hollow of that tree for a good 20mins. Then my niece took over for another 20... we has flashlights shone up into the hollow as well. No box. :-(

Nice hiding place! You might want to change the directions though. The side path is covered deliberately with brush and sticks. I think the park is trying to prevent people from eroding that path.
