Well, we didn't know the box was retired, so we went and first found a geocache. Staying our vengeful hands, we continued and found the spot where your box was reported to be, and found baggies with very soggy logbook and stamp. So we found a stamp and are logging a find. Please seriously consider replacing the box. It's very obvious people want to find it, and there are a couple of other boxes there so it could be a real occasion.
Best regards,

This was my very first letterbox found!

Stamp is missing from the letterbox.

This "box" is missing a stamp, but we did find a letterbox at this location. It appears it was a replacement for an earlier placement.

We had a beautiful walk around the gardens. The roses are perfect today! Huge fish in the fountain. Great place for a stamp. Unfortunately, the stamp is missing- someone replaced it with a logbook... but I would have liked to see the stamp.

Beautiful walk around the gardens. The roses are perfect right now. The fish in the fountain are HUGE. Great hiding place... unfortunately no stamp. Nicely enough, someone did replace the box with a logbook... but I would've loved to see this stamp.

Box is missing; there was a small memo pad and an inkpad in a ziplock bag, but no box or stamp. This notebook must have been left within the last few weeks; a few others had stamped it but commented that the box was gone.

We ran into another group who had just visited this letterbox. :) We exchanged stamps with them - our first exchange! It was raining - we're always "boxing" in the rain! :) The box was in great shape.
