From oak, pass shag bark on left, then on right, over rooted cedar lying flat to leaning tree in rock pile, along fallen mossy cedar here is the box.

Thank goodness for three stubborn letterboxers boxing today. The coordinates that worked for me were: from the tree mentioned in the clues...I sited 10+ish degrees on my compass and took 18-Teeker steps to the mentioned traprock; fallen cedar is nearly decayed but still there as clues mention.
