What a great find on veterans day weekend

Apparently there has been some vandalism at the park. A security agent ran after us and took photos of our license plate. We got out of the car and explained that we are a military family and were just enjoying the park. He said the photo was being sent to the Portsmouth Police anyway. I suggest anyone going for this series to go at least a half hour before opening and at least a half hour after closing. Boxes in great shape, but not well hidden. We hid better than we found.

I visited the Albacore with my stepfather, who was the 2nd in command of the sub during its service. It was very cool to find this tribute to his sub during my trip to NH. Thank you for a great series!

Left a replacement log, etc. for box 1

Sad to report that although we found box #1, it only contained the zip lock bag... no stamp or logbook was in the box. Box #2 and #3 were in good condition, but the logbooks are pretty much full.

While we did find the first box, both the stamp and the logbook were missing. We are going to try to get back over there tomorrow to put in a temporary book and stamp until you can replace them (we didn't have either with us today). Boxes two and three were in fine shape.
