Just over the state line, in the little podunk of Little River, South Carolina, you'll find yourself a welcome center. Because, you know, South Carolina is a welcoming kind of state.
Park near the back of the welcome center and find the large, green bin for recyclables. From the north end of the bin, take 45 steps towards 340°. From there, you should see a log on your left, parallel to the path you were following. At the north end of this log, you'll be properly welcomed to South Carolina. =)
