They're still cheaper than ammo cans, but how much is shipping?

They still seem overpriced to me?

I've bought them in bulk for $2 a container before. Been a while, though.

I've been trying to order some badges (P- and F- and Blue Diamond and a Night Boxing patch, but I'm having some problems. I found a few links that no longer work....and the one website that seems to be still active (weliveandbreathe.com) will not let me add anything to my cart to purchase. Could anyone tell me who to contact about buying these patches, please? Thanks!

Lock Wench is handling many of the patches these days but she is recovering from a serious accident and is currently in rehab, I believe, so it may be a while until she can take care of patch orders.

Oh my! I'm sorry to hear of Lock Wench's injuries....her recovery definitely needs to be her focus right now. Thank you very much for the information, Yumgirl. I can certainly wait to get patches.

I have many patches for sale but am currently recovering from a torn right meniscus, broken right leg, broken right ankle, broken right arm and whiplash. Needless to say, I have been in rehab since I had multiple surgeries on aug 8th but have friends in my house and will see about getting the stock here this next week. I will then post and be open for business. Thanks for understanding!

Ouch!! That sounds very painful...and a long recovery. Can I send you some GENTLE hugs? Please don't rush back to responsibilities on my account....I am in absolutely no urgent need of patches. So, whenever you feel up to it, we can 'do business'. :)

I'm going to need to get a patch now, also. I haven't counted poison ivy as a wound/injury, it is more of an occupational (recreational?) hazard of letterboxing, at least for me but last week I was bit by a dog while boxing in a local park.

Are you okay? If there's one thing I don't like it's off-leash dogs on the trails.

What I like even less are their owners who call out "oh, don't worry, he won't hurt you" as a strange dog is charging towards me.

So far, so good. I was well aware that this is an off-leash park and the box owner reminded me of that in the clues. The encounter was a little strange. The owner was putting water in a bowl for her two dogs when I came upon them. The smaller dog barked and growled so my focus was on that one as the other dog circled around behind me. Just as I turned to check that one out it bite me without any warning growl or anything. The owner acted very surprised and chastised her dog and put it on a leash while I talked with her a bit. I continued on to the box, it was very close by, and when I turned back to see if she was watching me, they were gone.

Sorry about the bite but rabies shouldn't be much of a worry:
http://www.dogsnaturallymagazine.com/the-rabies-threat/
In North America and Europe together, the total number of rabies cases is less than 5 per year – and not a single one of them have been from dog bites the last 30 years!

In all of the USA’s history there are no records of rabies being transferred to people through bites from dogs that are kept as pets. There were a total of 32 cases of rabies in the USA from 1980 to 1996. In 12 of these 32 cases the diagnosis was established only after death. In 7 cases no exposition was known. 21 of the 32 deaths were due to the bat-rabies virus. Only in one of these 21 cases a clearly defined bat bite occurred. Not a single case was related to bites from dogs.

Pretty interesting stuff. The mortality rate is pretty sobering, but I guess in the USA, there's not much of a problem with domesticated dogs. I'm glad you are OK.
I do wish the lady behind us would quit attracting raccoons and skunks (through our yard) to her yard with food. Much higher incidence of rabies in their bites.

We stuck a giant band-aid on the page my daughter stamped her first find: Bee Sting that swelled up the size of a golf ball!
If you walk into the local girl/boy scout office you must be able to buy patches... even if you have long since aged out of children in scouts needing mom driver/chaperons? Been so long.

I am back! Still out of work as the broken ankle isn't healing as fast as the broken arm and the broken leg, but have plenty of time to get orders out. If anyone is missing patch orders, please let me know. This is an honor system so I am trusting that you made payment ie...your check was cashed or you showed up on my PayPal.

I am selling the merit badges Finds and Plants, the Keep Calm and Letterbox On patch, the Nightboxing patch, the Slackboxing Patch nd the Blue Diamond Patch. The Blue Diamond patch as well as the 5000 find patch are on back order. You can see all these patches, along with their prices if you look in my logbook and under my Photo Album.

Oh my I would have to have one also.. I tripped over a stick and slid down a hill and landed in a small river.... Hands legs and pride all scratched up.. and by the time I got out of the river... lets just say that I am glad I didn't have to hobble to far down the trail to get to the car.... and then wait on the others to come down. So I would so put that on my pack!

Try contacting the guy directly through email, if you haven't already, I think his email is somewhere on there. I ordered some merit patches a few months ago and never received them. I contacted him through email a few times and he never answered, then I filed a Paypal complaint/refund request and we tried contacting him again and then he finally answered. He refunded my money no problem, and he said he didn't know that website was still online. He asked me how I found that page and what link I followed to get there so he could shut it down, I guess it didn't work.

If you check out LockWench's photos, I think on the last page she lists some of the patches she has for sale.

I've been trying to find one every since seeing it on Trail Troll's backpack.

Any help is appreciated!
