Schyler
Board: Prayer and Healing

I am asking for prayers for a local girl here named Schyler. She is really sick and has been now almost 3 months, missing 45 days of school. Her family is a mess and her dad is a real piece of work. Her mom has asked us to move her in to get her away from her father while all the doctors are trying to figure out what is going on with her. This is a huge thing for a parent to do. Know their daughter is really sick and still move her out as she needs to be away from the abuse at home. So the plan right now is we take her tonight. Some of you are aware of how bad the situation is. Thanks for your support.

We are aware that the entire situation is a bit crazy and we would do thing differently, but here we are.

Thanks.

Ps- this is the reason I am so behind on so many things, this has consumed our life.

As a parent I cannot imagine moving my kid out of my house and sending him away because it is safer especially when they are so ill.

I maybe a bit absent minded here- just crazy figuring this mess out.

I imagine that it would be easier for the doctors to get a handle on the illness once the child is in a stable environment. Stress seems to be a favorite diagnosis if something easy isn't forthcoming.

Sending out prayers that the child gets what they need...between stability, love and good medical care. And for guidance for her doctors, too...that they stay open minded and can get to the root of the problem and find affordable solutions for her.

Her grandpa brought her over with some of her belongings. She can't stay with her grandparents because so many of her cousins are staying there and there would be no peace or place for her.

Thanks for prayers, although I am tired and it was a long night, Schyler was able to get settled in some and get a good night sleep. Yesterday morning she reported feeling 2 out of 10. This morning she woke well rested and reported feeling 7 out of 10. We are keeping very specific journals to help the doctors . (Well her parents were suppose to be- they just wrote numbers). So now I have the journal we are recording times, activities, food eaten and how she feels every hour - trying to find a pattern or something.

Please continue to pray for the situation as this is rough

Thank you

I spent years tracking down the root of health problems for myself and kids...it's challenging to say the least. But once you start to get a handle on things it's almost miraculous to discover that there is a solution.
Don't discount anything, and remember that there can be random seeming connections. One daughter has to avoid apples and high fructose corn syrup and a few other things due to an enzyme issue...I never would have connected those pieces if her ped hadn't been to a conference on IBS and decided to offer it out as a last ditch possibility.
