yippeee, hoping to be down in the sun again for U.S. Thanksgiving (you guys do know how to really do Thanksgiving). Anyways our arrival is tentative. I also know of another LB family travelling to the desert for that week. SO anyone able to host, or ideas for an informal family type LB meet and greet?
Ruth Hardy? Demuth Park? or somewhere else?
Let's say Tuesday Thanksgiving week 12 - 4 pm ???? and where.
Finger foods.
I wasn't going to post into events unless others thought it could be a go.

I'm always interested in a meet-and-greet, but if it's a weekday, it would need to be in the evening.

Okay! So Kelsung you said evening. Any particular evening/time after what hour that week? And all you desert folks, 'where' might we meet? Looks like it may be a small gathering. I think if it is evening it will be dark. So that being said. Ideas? I've never done a meet and greet. It's a bit harder planning from Vancouver, B.C.

I can do Tuesday, or even the Sunday before Thanksgiving, in case the weekend is the only option for some. Probably no one will want to drive on Wednesday. ; ) It might be good to choose a day soon in case reservations start to fill up.

If it's a meet and greet, it doesn't have to be in a park. Buffet places like Hometown Buffet, etc. or pizza places have been popular around here. In that case all you really need to do is make a reservation and post the event. Usually someone carves an event stamp but the organizer doesn't have to.
For a small meet and greet in a park it's really about the same, just need someone to get there early to save a table or two. Since it's not daylight savings time, if it's evening an indoor location might be better unless the park has good lights. Night boxing, anyone?

Yippeee!! So glad to hear Pilgrims are coming back for a bit.

Most any night that week is good for me. If it were Monday it would be just me, but any other night it is me and Gageo the Wonder Boy.

I have a couple connections with restaurants here in town and could check them out. As it is the beginning of the "season" here and will be so close to the Big Bird in Bondage Day, it might be a bit harder to secure a space but I can sure try.

PAPPASKY and everyone so sad we haven't made it to the desert. Yikes, too much stuff going on. Had realllly hoped to be there for Thanksgiving week and the meet and greet with you all. So sorry we missed it :(
That being said the next departure date from Canada is this next Sunday. Not sure about that though. We have to wait for the best driving weather and we sure don;t feel like battling snow and rain to get to the desert.
