Where's that EWWWW button?

Lovely spring day, long work day, but got through it, took kids after dinner to a beautiful park with gorgeous views of the hills and empty of muggles. Along for a letterboxing hike to find Easter themed boxes - hidden in eggs even, which makes everything wonderful. Clues are clear and fun, path is good, kids in great moods. We discover the first box, I reach down and find the "egg." Wow, this feels squishy...hmm... AAAAHHHHHH S**T!!!! Literally! :( Sigh...no baby wipes, no wet grass even to wipe my hands, kids laughing at me (okay, I did handle it very well for truly how gross it was - laughing at myself too!). Sigh... felt like a bad boxer because I could not even clean the egg off very well as the dog (I call him Rufus) had a perfect bullseye - right on the egg/box!! We did the best we could, I refused to use my hand until I could sufficiently wipe, found the remaining boxes and had quite a story - YUCK - to share. I at least left note when logging on the box warning the next finder! Fun series and memorable, very memorable!

I guess there could be worse things for them to retell...though nothing really is coming to mind...
You too! :)

Let's start a petition. I want a "GAG" button, but I think "EWWWW" might work as well!
To vote for "GAG" hit agree. To vote for "EWWWWW" hit disagree.

I have noticed an increased willingness to wash the dishes, laundry, cars, etc. after "the incident" - might need to seek professional help :)
Happy Easter! May you find pleasant surprises throughout your day!

I don't blame you. hehe
We had a great day. I carved little stamps for all the kids. (6 kids = 6 stamps) I put them in big eggs and wrote their names on them so they actually had to look for the egg with their name on it. hehe

Since we're in a game where we know how to hide things, I hope that you actually hid them so that the kids could find them. ;-) I'm assuming that you did.

My daughter said she had to think like a letterboxer to try to find her Easter basket this year. Needless to say, she only found it by many, many "clues". And the hot/cold game. LOL.
I put her basket in a plastic bag, then sunk it inside my large container that has rice in it. It was completely buried.

lol yes I hid them in places that were appropriate for their ages. I just gave the baby hers, the three year olds was just in a depression in the dirt, the two 5 years olds were 'hidden' in plain site just where they had to go look, the 8 year olds was buried under some pine needles and my 12 year old cousins was up in the crook of a tree....that was courtesy of my 6 ft tall husband. hehe

Apparently the Easter bunny put my nephews baskets (the boys are 5 and 8) hanging from the ceiling fan. Apparently it took them quite a while to find them too. I've never thought of hidng my daughters basket but now that the thought has been introduced....
