The B Hunters are adding a new little 'B' to the bunch. It is a total surprise and I am looking for a fun way to tell my husband. For B#1 I gave him a baby bottle with balloons, for B#2 I slipped it into a fortune cookie, now I'm out of ideas...share some creative fun ones. The B Hunter mommy

Having had the pleasure to meet you fine folks, I would say:

  1. He'll be happy, and:
  2. Plant a box, disguise the clues so it looks like it's from someone else, and have the stamp reveal the news!

This is an easy one.

Carve a stork stamp, or a baby bottle stamp...and hide a letterbox for him to find!

No doubt about it...plant a box - if only in your own house!

I like that idea. I also had an idea, tell me what you think...There is a fathers day luncheon for my honey and all his Basketball friends and buddies that he hangs out with. I thought I might get one of them to talk about celebrating the newest father and have everyone stand up and then do somthing like...everyone with brown hair sit down, everyone under he age of 25 sit down...etc..until he was the only one standing. I'm wishy washy on this. But perhaps they could then present him with a t-shirt or tie with those handprints on it. hmmmm...any more ideas???

Maybe have your youngest wear a T-shirt that says "I'm going to be a big brother/sister!" or something, see if he catches on. :)

Along the lines of T-shirt/tie, if you had the other two kids put their FEETprints on the shirt, and then made teeny tiny little baby prints with your hand (make a fist, and then imagine pounding your fist on something, the part that hits is the big part of the foot, and then use your fingerprints to make increasingly smaller toes). Then give him the shirt, and as he marvels over how cute it is, he'll hopefull figure out that there are three different size footprints, and hey! who is the littlest one!?

he doesn't read boards so really, you are the only ones who know. How fun is that, a bunch of letterboxers know before the entire B Clan. I like the idea of a tie or shirt with the little feet prints. so now I'm in a quandry. Do I do it in front of his entire little group (and save having to tell every individual later on) or give him the gift privately adn then revel to our friends? hmmmmm...the joys of planning. MEanwhile, I've made two HH to go out to the extended family (who also box) in their father's day cards.

Hopefully they will all get there in time. Love the ideas. Thanks. We are very excited. We are the infertile B hunters so any baby that comes is a miracle to us !!

Ok, first of all, you have to tell us in detail exactly what you do, and his reaction!!!

I like the idea of doing something (shirt, tie, etc) in private, and then let him wear it to the dinner with the friends. That way he could share the fun of "telling" them (and/or letting them figure it out ;-))

Congrats on your "infertility" LOL! I love to hear happy stories like that! After my daughter was first diagnosed with her heart defect (she's fine now), a friend told me about her cousin who was also born with a heart defect, and the docs told her she could never have children. She had four..... with no problems...... ;-))

That's why doctors call it "practice".

I love these stories too. Our second daughter was born with neither parent having an entire set of reproductive organs - without any problems. :-)

Well, if you don't make a decision about how to tell him sooner or later, eventually, he's going to figure it out himself. ;o)

Actually, that could be a lot of fun--wait and see exactly how long it does take him to figure things out on his own. =)

yes and if my husband had his way we'd practice every night :)
I'll be sure and report back. It has crossed my mind to wait and see how long it takes him to figure it out...but I am too excited to wait. BUT, I have considered it for his side of the family. The B Hunters

To see how long they politely avoided mentioning your "weight gain"

I think that would be hilarious!!
