Here's a quick icon scramble to show, generally speaking, the type of icons I was describing earlier. A couple are familiar ;-) and the rest I could improve with a little more time. I also changed a couple of attribute names.

Type of image:

Hand-carved stamp
Original artwork
Personal digital creation
Personal photograph or scanned image
Image from web

Other attributes:

Interactive
Non-internet research required
Puzzle
Solution is clue for another letterbox

very nice....I like, I like - this will help me in trying to conquer all the ones I haven't had time for. They just seem to keep multiplying every day.

Wow Mama Cache, you really have your thinking cap on. Nicely organized thoughts on the categories and nice attribute images.

All those little icons in a post--you certainly know how to create a visual impression with your post! I've bookmarked it for future reference. ;o)

If I were webmaster (grin), I'd get alamocito to draw a 1/2 inch by 1/2 inch icon for the original artwork. She's the inspiration for it anyway. That sorry little Mona Lisa icon was a public domain swipe that screams "Count my pixels!"

Well, I did get her to create the Mother's Day theme, at your suggestion. That worked out well enough! =)

I'm not sure I ever heard the term "count my pixels" before, but I thought the Mona Lisa icon was inspired. Oh, sure, perhaps a more cleaned up version of it would be nice, but it wasn't half bad. =)

What about an alamocito version of the Mona Lisa? Southwest Mona Lisa? She did a great job on the Mother's Day theme.

Yes, I figured out what you meant. =) I have some icons I created that are like that, and it kind of annoys me too! I keep promising that someday I'll fix that, but I keep busying myself with other things instead.
