What a wonderful Mother's Day!

I attended a private letterboxing gathering on Saturday and slept over Saturday night. I got up VERY early this morning in order to get home before my 3 children woke up (one 10 year old and two teenagers).

I got to tickle them awake and made them breakfast. Oddly, they chose not to go to Sunday services with me this morning.

When I got back home from services, they were all waiting. Each one had taken the time to hand craft a card, and each one had written a LONG note inside, telling me in tear-rendering detail just how much I meant to them, listing anecdotes, etc.

My daughter and I went off to the store to pick up some stuff she needed, then I dropped her off at her friends' house. Outside, in front of all her friends, she yelled "Mum! I LOVE YOU!".

Back home again, my oldest son and his friend wanted to go to the movies, so I drove them to the cinema (Spiderman3). On the way into the cinema, my son yells out "Hey Mum! You are the BEST!".

Home again home again jiggedy jig. My youngest son has just finished putting away all the clean laundry. He said "I get the BEST Mother's Day because I have you all to myself all afternoon!". We looked at the sig stamps and box stamps from my previous day's adventures, and then did a little boxing of our own.

They all pitched in to make a rag-tag potluck buffet for dinner, and then they did the dishes!

I got the biggest hugs and kisses as they went to bed.

I swear, this was my BEST Mother's Day - EVER!

What a wonderful day! It's the simple things in life that make the grand gestures.

I'm glad to read that a few Moms on A.Q. had such a nice day.

I did not go out boxing on Mother's Day, but my family took me out the day before. We found 5 of the 6 boxes we were looking for, plus two others that we weren't looking for, and we ran into 4 other boxers 3 times!! Quite an amazing day of boxing =o)
