Road Trip with no Letterboxing!

So my man and I went all over the state this weekend. I had printed out clues at work right before I left on Thursday, threw them in my bag and went home. Friday we hit the road and we were getting to a town where there were 2 boxes in the same park. I had him pull out the clues to see which way to go off the exit ramp and he says, oh no. I'm like, what?

My toner went bad and the clues had huge white streaks down them. Totally unreadable. This was only the beginning to what turned out to be a trip from hell. Ever stay in a hippie commune? Unexpectedly as well? Yeah, no toilet paper. Some guy crawled in thru our window at one point. We had to sleep on a twin mattress we scavenged from the hall..... and my man's mom had told us she thought we'd be more comfortable there when we found out that there was no hotels available anymore?! Turns out she's never been past the front door.

We cut our trip very short. After no sleep in the commune and nerves completely shot, we went to graduation, the family ditched us afterwards and we ended up hanging out with a homeless guy who asked us for some change. He was more friendly than most of the family! Met up and went out to lunch and sqwaked the tires getting the hell out of town. 5 hour drive and then the first thing I did was take a shower at home. It's sad when you feel cleaner after using a rest area bathroom than you did anywhere else the whole weekend, especially your future sister-in-law's home. No toilet paper.... that seriously blew my mind and I even asked if we should go get some and was told no, there'd be some.

Ah i feel your pain. i learnt this same lesson the hard way. i now carry some form of tissue paper with me...ALWAYS. HHHmmmm could you have used the useless clue pages?

*clue pages are probably softer than what they use in Europe*
