Oh geez where do I start.

I guess the begining would be just fine...
I am a School Bus driver and today I had a field trip to some nature trails that I have a letterbox planted at. Perfect I can check the box while I'm getting paid. Bonus!!

So I load the 65+ students 4th grade and Kindergarten. 2 teachers and 4 chaperones.

And away down the road we go. As we are driving the teacher is telling the kids what they are going to see when they get there and what they are going to do. (This is the third time they have gone, once during each season.) Then I hear the teacher say that she is going to pass out a paper to everyone and that they are clues to a treasure hunt like hobby called letterboxing. (boy did that get my attention) She explained that it is like a secret and that you have to respect your surroundings and all of the important aspects to boxing. she even told them about letterboxings history etc. The kids were very excited by the time we got there just a few minutes later.

Only after the kids loaded back up and I dropped them off back at their school and It was just me and the teacher on the bus did I tell her that the box they had just found was mine. It was her turn to be very surprised. =).

all in all a good day! anyhow, I just had to share my story.

How cool was that! Did you hang out in the background to see if all those kids were respectful? How did 65 students manage to log into your box?

No I didn't hang out I stayed on the bus I didn't want to interfere. as for 65 student logging in, the teacher had a single stamp that represented the group. One of the kids told me later that it was a Turtle =).

That is incredible. What are the chances that you were the one to drive that bus on that day for that field trip? Cool!
