Our Oregon Luau last Saturday was FABULOUS thanks to Team Springamajack!

Out on the trails to find boxes, we ran into many horseriders in the park. Various comments by different riders and our responses follow:

Horserider (HR): What are you studying?
Me: Trees.
(Well, it's true. Our group was studying trees to find the boxes at their bases.)

HR: Are you all part of the event happening in the park?
Yiker: (in a joking manner) Yes. It's a secret society.
(A few minutes later) Juggler: We should have said, "Event? What event?"
Yiker: We are all wearing matching name tags.
(Much later) Me: And we are all wearing plastic Hawaiian leis! Oops.

HR: Are you collecting specimens?
Me: Yes! (out of the side of my mouth to Camp Violet) Rubber stamp specimens.
HR: Botanical or insect?
Me: Both. (quietly) Cooties are insects. And everytime I kneel down to log, I'm collecting botanicals all over my jeans.

The carvings were great by Lani (Team Springamajack) and Jess and all the details were terrific and made this event one to remember! Thanks again!
