In class recently we have begun building 3-d 1/4 scale models of buildings thta we designed and it made me revert back to my doll house days- but along the way my thought process lead me to thinking about building a "Letterboxing Insane Aslyum"- due to previous messages on the boards.

so im runing with the idea and was wondering if anyone would be interested in helping me out
here is the idea:

i want to build a wooden base that has a lamp sticking out of it, the base will have a drawer in it for a stamp, ill frame out the base and upwards covering the light and surrounding it all in paper that in the end will form the shape of a building- but here is where if you are interested i would like help:

the paper itself i want to be several layers thick and covered in stamps- all sorts of stamped images- and all different colors. i dont really want control of this beacsue im too much of a perfectionist and also becaus ei would love to see what others given this could come up with- stamp over others, line up, etc.

along with the paper- once i find suitable- non burning ones i am making several stamsp for it- so if you help out you get several stamps as well.
there are a few kinks still to work out but i wanted to get it out of my brain and see if anyone might be interested.

If I'm on the same wavelength, you could provide the pre-cut papers to a responsible (no-so-insane) letterboxer to stamp the first image. Then the papers could be mailed PLB-styled and let the participants stamp the heck out of it. Or take it to a large gathering and let the stamp*ho**s decorate it madly/insanely.

Once you figure out the best paper for the project, test the different types of ink to see if some types don't do well.

ye shtta is what im thinking of- thank you, probilby plb style, but in small chunks- like in sets of five people or so that circulate through that one, then once thats done, they can go to a second ring- they groups can switch and fill in...just kinda working hat part of the idea out still...

Have you considered fabric? Any fabric paint can be used as a stamp ink, fabric is less likely to burn than paper..........

Just a thought - most fabric won't hold the fine details of many stamps, so it may not work for your purpose - just giving you something more to think about ;-))
