I give you a lot of credit for watching, Riggs!

When I heard that he was giving an address, I sincerely doubted that he had anything useful or remotely interesting to say. He just likes attention and with his poll numbers cratering, I figured he was desperate to get them back up thinking this would do the trick. But I also figured he'd do his same song and dance. Complain about everything bad not being his fault and take credit for anything good whether he was involved or not and a colossal waste of time for anyone who decided to tune in.

For me, the Cliff Notes is sufficient. If it did turn out that he actually had something important to say, I could always watch the "re-runs" later on YouTube.

It is being referred to as the "Pettysburg Address". People are saying so.

We Tivo'd survivor knowing that it would pre-empt part of the show and watched Thursday.

Were those people “big, strong men, with tears in their eyes, saying sir, there’s never been such an address in the history of the world?” It seems that there are lots of big, strong, teary-eyed men in Trump’s orbit.

lol....I had no choice, it just popped on during Survivor.

his post about the Reiners was extremely disturbing.

. Very disturbing, the man has no filter. Cant even imagine how the Reiner family dealt with that.

Talk about disturbing, how about him changing the name of The Kennedy Center to the "Trump-Kennedy Center".

Maria Shriver had a lot to say about that, and she wasn't a happy camper.

I have lots of older LTCs (some probably around 15 years old) that were passed on to me by another boxer. It must not have been common for the AQ number to be included on the back when these were made. So, fair warning that most do not have the AQ number on the back. Many can be looked up by tracker or trail name. Would anyone want me to send them some? If so, please send me a message instead of posting to this message. That way I don’t worry that I miss someone’s message.

I like to follow this guy, Steve. He goes to some interesting places. In this video, he discovers what looks like to be a bear canister with a set of numbers in it. I don’t believe it’s a plant by Steve. But these days, who knows. What’s the Mystery of the Mojave!?

Link to video (skip to the 11:00 minute mark if you are impatient).

Smithsonian Magazine 1998 - Letterboxing Article

If anyone is interested, I'm selling a copy of the 1998 Smithsonian Magazine that has the "They Live and Breathe Letterboxing" article in it. As most here know, that article is widely seen as helping to usher in the hobby into the USA. The magazine is in very good condition and as they say, "It's a must have for any true letterboxing devotee.." Whoever "they" is... lol. This magazine is getting harder to come by nowadays. If you search on eBay for "Smithsonian Magazine Letterboxing" it should pop right up. If there is interest I have another copy that I may list as well. I'll be donating the proceeds to my local humane society where our last several cats have come from.

Well I sort of solved the mystery:

However... why!? It's not viral marketing, not enough people see it. As one of the comments read, who ever put it there is legend!

I am not so sure that is the solution. Maybe I am looking at it wrong but if you write the letters under the numbers the numbers are 1 short and 11 seems to be an e, an r or an n

It's true that many super-old LTC's don't have AQ numbers, but I have had pretty good luck logging most of the ones I've received by using trail names and the name of the card if they've included those on the back-it's worth a try!

In celebration of Survivor Season 50, CBS is hiding 50 immunity idols (one in each state). Clues will be available January 30th.

I think as letterboxers, we might have a leg up on this competition and I would love to hear if someone here finds one.

As a super-old LTC maker (c. 2009), I don't put the AQ number on the back of my cards. I never will because a number says nothing except the order in which it was listed.

What is more important than the number is the maker's name and the date, and the number of cards made. Those, but especially the artwork on the front (and sometimes also on the back) are what make an LTC special. They are small art prints.

Absolutely agree but the number is still important so it can be logged - that’s how I get to tell people how much I love their cards and what they mean to me. I’m just as happy looking up by name and maker, though I think my autistic brain just wants the order of the numbers!

and my artistic brain (only a one letter difference ~ oh my!) can't handle the chaos of numbers. OK, 'doesn't want to'; too hard, too slow, and too many errors - and that's just when copying a long number, never mind actual calculations.

Reading the rules kind of made me think the will end up being hidden in public locations based off it saying that there will be Representatives present at each hiding location...so my original daydream of finding some beads alone in a forest probably aren't realistic lol
