With as much in the news today about Global Warming and “what you can do to help” I was appalled to see this article in my local newspaper. Not only am I opposed to such a bill but it sickens me to think that business and money would override our responsibility to take care of our resources… if not for ourselves than for our children. As I see it, Denton’s Dyno Dirt program is a forerunner in a movement that should have begun decades ago and will hopefully pave the way for more programs like it. Please help me stop this irresponsible bill filed by state Rep. Dennis Bonnen, R-Angleton that would help businesses at the expense of our planet. Recycling and thinking green has to start somewhere and when it does it must be protected!

I contacted the editor of this article and asked for suggestions… his reply:

“I would suggest writing your state rep first (find the contact info at http://www.capitol.state.tx.us/) and then maybe your City Council member (www.cityofdenton.com). Of course, you could also write Rep. Bonnen, who is sponsoring the bill. Another option is writing a letter to the editor (email to drc@dentonrc.com) ; they are widely read.”

Thanks for reading,

I know there probably aren't many Texans on this message board but as I see it... this effects us all -esspecially our children! Please consider dropping an email in these representatives boxes if you agree!

I'm sorry for laughing here, but Rep. Bonnen was actually quoted saying "even-steven" in the interview! *snurk* (with apologies to JPMcD)

Fight the good fight, Denton!
