CONGRATULATIONS!!! THAT WAS WONDERFUL!!!

Lady Lilac

Correction- SOME guys don't understand it.
Would I have done it if i didn't understand? :D

What was the first part of letterboxing that i got Kitten into? PLB's.
What are the letterboxes that she's always excited to get every day? PLB's.
What kind of letterbox can she always play with no matter what the weather's like? PLB's. (well, i suppose virtuals, too, but seriously- what, am i going to program a robotic arm to pull the ring out of nowhere when she correctly solves a 'Marry Me' VLB? *suddenly remembers Kitten's love of robots* Uhh....forget i said that.)

I knew what I was doing :D

CQ (who might post the video of Kitten opening the postal...still debating that :D)

OH!!! Congratulations! How cool! How wierd that so many people knew before you! Seems like rings are in the air this year! PSU Fan and I went and looked at rings recently, and I've picked mine out, but he says that he has the last say in what I get for a ring.

Now, If I ever finally get PSU Fan to propose...... he says it will be a surprise, but I don't like surprises.......

we were actually just talking about that- how we want letterboxers to come- and i made the mistake of saying i want letterboxing at the wedding- but of course not DURING the wedding, unless-
you can kiss the bride- as soon as you find the kiss approval box- (cq) "damnit! give me the clues!"
have you the i do stamp (opens log) ok, and you?

and there is a no cooties on the bride rule! that would just be mean- big dress, i cant seea round it:)

and thank you to everyone- you are all sooo sweet.

Yay for more letterboxing romance! :) Atom 118 proposed to me almost 2 months ago now by calling me over to the sofa to show me the stamp he was carving. It was a little heart with "A + J" inside, and then he pulled the ring out of his shirt pocket. It was very sweet. :) The stamp's out there somewhere right now as a HH called "I've got a question" to which I carved a response HH called "I said yes." :)

Did you make him wait for an "answer" PLB?

When my husband proposed to me through a series of 3 letterboxes, I didn't give him an official answer. I planted it in a letterbox and made him go find it!

EEKK! That seems a bit rough! I didn't enjoy the 3 seconds (well it seemed like an hour to me, but CB said it was maybe 1/2 a second) she waited when we itinially had our "are we just friends" chat. But to make him wait until he found the box. EEEKK! I'm not sure I would have been able to bear the wait. (although I guess at that point he had a pretty good idea what your answer would be!).

Quote at that point he had a pretty good idea what your answer would be!

Actually the first word out of my mouth was "no", Then I screamed "You're such a snot!"
But let me explain. He had been planning this for months.
He planted the first box on Feb 10th. He had a letterboxing friend of ours post the clues to "The Question I" and a friend from work wrote all the stuff on the log book. We found it together and it was simply the words "you" and "me". Immediately I said, "it sounds like a marriage proposal, but why would Nick (the guy who posted the clues) ask Patty to marry him? They're already married." I also noticed that the stamps were numbered.
The next letterbox "The Question II" was almost a month later, March 9th. He had the same people post the clues and write on the logbook. It was a stamp of the word "will" and a store bought Teddy Bear stamp. These stamps were also numbered, but they didn't arrange to fit the "Will you marry me?" question. The numbers were greater than the amount of words. I was still confused.
I kept watching LbNA (sorry I didn't know about AQ then). You know I can't get part of a series. I have to have the whole thing. And I love cryptic messages, so I just had to figure out what it said. Then the clues to "The Question III" showed up one Saturday evening. Arrgggg. I didn't have toime to get it until the next Saturday!
On Sunday we had planned to leave the kids at a friends house, go to lunch and then a movie. Well, on the way to the movie, Jim said he thought we had time to go by and get the letterbox. I was so excited.
Then in the parking lot, we ran into one of his friends (the lady who had written the title on the logbook). She was out "taking video of the first signs of spring". And out on the trail we saw Nick (the guy who had posted the clues) and Patty. I figured they were out looking for places to plant "The Question IV". They all followed us and talked to me while Jim got the letterbox from behind the tree.
I didn't figure it all out until I saw the stamps that were inside; "Stacey" and "marry".
Then I started to see that everybody knew about this but me, and how easily I should have figured it out, but didn't. And that is why I said "no". Not to his question, but to how totally clueless I was.

And it's all on video!

He deserved to have to wait for my answer to be carve, planted and posted!
