ok ok ok ill tell....after i kill wandering star.
no im not pregnant
no we didnt adopt
yes it involved letterboxing
no not a rock
yes you have to thank all the wonderful family of postal letterboxing
in january the Valentines Day Magic Ring was listed, and me suddenly feeling very much sappy, both myself and celtic quinn to carve a stamp together for it- instead we carved to seperate ones- but the downfall of that was that they were a complete secret from one another. We didnt speak of it, we ignored each others logbooks, and it was very hard.
after a month of this plotting the ring finally began and our boxes went out- mine in one package and cq's in another.
fast forward to today.
we finally recieved them home, after the four other lovely participants recieving our packages- and gracefully not telling either of us what they thought of them, we fianlly got to open them.
wandering star being on-site took pictures (she also tomented me all day saying that i know what it is and you cant have it...but anyways)
so cq loved my postcard letter that i had written a loving sentiment on and included a stamped image of myself, and when i finally got to open his three box package with two cameras staring me in the face (see im building up tension here)...(DUH DUN DUUUMMM) so the first had a lovely poem that he wrote for me and a matching sentimental stamp, the second lines from a love song, and the third..well...
ok ill tell- it was a stamp that had a ring and around it "will you marry me" and attached to the stamp holder was a ring box with ring inside.
so everyone in that ring knew- ALL my friends knew- even my friends mothers knew- and i JUST found out my mother knew!!!
and i said yes.

Correction- SOME guys don't understand it.
Would I have done it if i didn't understand? :D
What was the first part of letterboxing that i got Kitten into? PLB's.
What are the letterboxes that she's always excited to get every day? PLB's.
What kind of letterbox can she always play with no matter what the weather's like? PLB's. (well, i suppose virtuals, too, but seriously- what, am i going to program a robotic arm to pull the ring out of nowhere when she correctly solves a 'Marry Me' VLB? *suddenly remembers Kitten's love of robots* Uhh....forget i said that.)
I knew what I was doing :D
CQ (who might post the video of Kitten opening the postal...still debating that :D)

OH!!! Congratulations! How cool! How wierd that so many people knew before you! Seems like rings are in the air this year! PSU Fan and I went and looked at rings recently, and I've picked mine out, but he says that he has the last say in what I get for a ring.
Now, If I ever finally get PSU Fan to propose...... he says it will be a surprise, but I don't like surprises.......

we were actually just talking about that- how we want letterboxers to come- and i made the mistake of saying i want letterboxing at the wedding- but of course not DURING the wedding, unless-
you can kiss the bride- as soon as you find the kiss approval box- (cq) "damnit! give me the clues!"
have you the i do stamp (opens log) ok, and you?
and there is a no cooties on the bride rule! that would just be mean- big dress, i cant seea round it:)
and thank you to everyone- you are all sooo sweet.

Yay for more letterboxing romance! :) Atom 118 proposed to me almost 2 months ago now by calling me over to the sofa to show me the stamp he was carving. It was a little heart with "A + J" inside, and then he pulled the ring out of his shirt pocket. It was very sweet. :) The stamp's out there somewhere right now as a HH called "I've got a question" to which I carved a response HH called "I said yes." :)

Did you make him wait for an "answer" PLB?
When my husband proposed to me through a series of 3 letterboxes, I didn't give him an official answer. I planted it in a letterbox and made him go find it!

EEKK! That seems a bit rough! I didn't enjoy the 3 seconds (well it seemed like an hour to me, but CB said it was maybe 1/2 a second) she waited when we itinially had our "are we just friends" chat. But to make him wait until he found the box. EEEKK! I'm not sure I would have been able to bear the wait. (although I guess at that point he had a pretty good idea what your answer would be!).
