On Nov 12, 1775, after hearing that British King George III rejected, out of hand, the Olive Branch Petition, Abigail Adams wrote to her husband:

"Let us separate, they are unworthy to be our Brethren. Let us renounce them and instead of supplications as formerly for their prosperity and happiness, Let us beseech the almighty to blast their councils and bring to Nought all their devices."

My cousin (Ezmerelda) and I will be going through Stampeaz supplies around Thanksgiving that we unloaded from Webfoot's home (see way below). We've reached out to a few that we knew who would be interested, and there already have been over a dozen other people reaching out to us about needing some carving material, ink, gouges, and so on.

We will probably make another post after Thanksgiving when we know what is there and where.

First: Please keep in mind that lot of the items will have soot on them to clean off. While we are planing to wipe and clean a little bit, there will more than likely be evidence of soot. Those in plastic won't have to worry so much, but Tan-Z, Firm Kut, and foam for backings may have some. However, those that wipe with Acetone before transfer will be be pleased.

Second: The only cost is shipping. The theme on Saturday at Webfoot's home was to share.

Third: We would appreciate if you wait until after Thanksgiving before seeing a shipment. However, if you have a Tan-Z emergency, and only want Tan-Z, we probably can get some out to you. There is a ton of Tan-Z (even with leaving one lonely stack there).

Other notes:
We may bring some to events, and we are sending some to events. Angel Winks is also going to help us out as she attends lots of events. I am planning on being at WinterFest in Canton, MI.

Sorry, no secret PZ or Staedtler gouge stashes were uncovered.

Black ink seems to be in demand.

It has been nice to hear from so many letterboxers. There is so much love for Stampeaz. Webfoot, if you are reading this, so many reached out concerned about you and wishing they could help.

I also was surprised by a couple of people who reached out to me, so maybe there is some interest rekindling for some.

Reach out in AQ mail if there are any questions. I will probably post this also on the Atlas Quest Letterboxing group, too.

For those who have not already heard the following or curious on why we have Stampeaz supplies.

In October, Webfoot had an awful fire. Her house needs to be rebuilt.

Last Friday, as regulars on the boards here know, Webfoot posted that she needed Stampeaz out of her basement by this past Monday or it will all end up in a landfill. There is a team starting to clean out and rebuild.

As I live two/two and half hours away from her, I reached out to see if we could help. In addition, I reached out to my wonderful letterboxer cousins, Ezmerelda and Jeep Guy (Ezmerelda's brother). They are in Northern Michigan. Jeep Guy not only lives and works near Traverse City, but has a pickup truck.

My cousins, along with Nic and I, went to Webfoot's home and loaded up three vehicles with about 90% of Stampeaz and unloaded most at Ezmerelda's house.

We took a tiny pile back with us to Lansing. We're in the process of buying a house. We were supposed to close on the 7th, so helping Webfoot has been a welcome distraction from the frustration of delays. Here's hoping we get the house and can bring more back to Lansing to give Ezmerelda some space back.

Our goal is to share with others since Stampeaz is closed. Webfoot may reopen Stampeaz. For now, it seems like it will be closed for quite a long time.

Trump , one of the best presidents to this day, has not revoked anyone license of marriage. And I don’t believe he has any intention to do so .
He has revoked people with a mental illness, that think they are something other then what they are, from serving in the military, and for tax payers dollars being used to pay for operations to help in these peoples delusions.
I’m sure if they wanted to get therapy, they could find help.

This is a site for letterboxing, but many people have turned it into a political site. Pitting letterboxer against letterboxer,. I have covert rarely offered my opinion because I don’t want to get into this debate with other boxers. I liked it better when it was only the geo catchers that got abused( lol)

I also have noticed that a large portion of of the people that are talking politics on here are liberals. People that think everything they say is the truth. And everything the other side says is lies and wrong .
As a conservative, I personally do not have a problem with gay people being married. You’re in love. , want to be married. Go for it. Yes I do have issue with trans , pronouns, and a lot of other stuff I deem crazy. But I don’t come to this site to share that opinion,,,, there are so many other places you can spew your opinion and insults of man who believes in America, who believes, America is still the best country going.
I didn’t see much of any negative comments on our last president. But maybe I just missed it, because I don’t usually read this crap. But lately I’ve decided that others feel quite comfortable sharing their opinions, don’t seem to care that it may offend some of us. So I thought I will do the same.
Now I know democrats that are boxers, and I’ve never cared. I’m out looking for for a box, not a debate, not an argument. I had one boxing democat accuse me of thinking they were stupid. Which I never thought nor said. But now she does not want to box with me.
What I say is,,,,, if you want to share your opinion on this site, great. , go for it. But just know, There are just as many of us that do not share your opinion. God bless you, And happy trails

We live in a country with a democracy, and can vote with our moral compass. I try to look for things I have on common with others, and try NOT to judge.

If two people love each other- let them be happy! If you do not feel like a boy- you do you! I believe God is the judge and we will all look him in the face and HE and only HE should be our judge!

Sadly, my kids learned what a B*ow job was in 4th grade thanks to a President, and now 4th graders are learning rich white men can abuse young girls with no consequences..... My moral compass is whirling!!!

However, I am a nurse (worked in Intensive Care for 30 years, 10 more in pre-surgery) and absolutely cannot tolerate RFK- he is a whack job and spews misinformation! His claims are going to actually hurt people that follow his recommendations - people will die!

And, live near Chicago- where ICE is causing all kinds of mayham! Its not what they are doing, its HOW they are doing it. Obama deported many folks, but followed the law and treated people with much more respect.

My thoughts...... and I generally do not engage in political conversations either, but this current state of affairs is disturbing to me!

The United States is a constitutional federal republic with democratic elements, not a direct democracy. It is a democracy in the sense that people elect representatives to govern on their behalf, a system also called a representative democracy. However, it is specifically a republic, which means it is a system where the people hold the power, but a constitution and elected officials govern.

A republic is not equal to Republican..... We can choose representatives that most represent our beliefs or morals...... We have a constitution so that the elected officials follow it- and do not ignore the Constitution.....

I wish there was a private board for the LGBTQ community and their allies. For those of us not on social media (except here), it’s helpful to have a private place to talk when people are legitimately frightened about fundamental rights being taken away from themselves, their family, and their friends.

Trump , one of the best presidents to this day

For 47% 45% 43% 41% 40% 37% 38% 41% 38% of the US population and billionaires. I haven't observed any interest by him to be president for the whole country. Using economic force to buckle institutions and punish states just feels so Hungary to me. Capitulation at the end of a financial bayonet.

Pitting letterboxer against letterboxer

Epstein's pedo pal appears to bring out the worst in everyone. Myself included at times.

Btw, Are you okay with Trump pulling every lever he can to conceal the full Epstein document release he promised you? Can you think of any reason why he would change his mind? Was there more in the files than he originally thought?

I’m sure if they wanted to get therapy, they could find help

that think they are something other then what they are

The gentleman doth protest too much, methinks

help in these peoples delusions.

You must think you have keen medical knowledge to share your diagnoses! What does your professional shingle on the wall in the office say? Or do you have an X or YouTube education? But thanks for the advice. Now heal thyself

Yes I do have issue with trans , pronouns, and a lot of other stuff I deem crazy. But I don’t come to this site to share that opinion

I don't think that's how not sharing your opinion works. If I said I don't want to share my opinion that I think your are a boob. (I'll further qualify that with "no disrespect".)

there are so many other places you can spew your opinion and insults of man who believes in America

Than the dedicated It's Politics as Usual board? I believe it is you that may be unclear of the concept.

People that think everything they say is the truth.

Are you suggesting that sometimes you lie to make a point or share grossly uninformed statements?

And everything the other side says is lies and wrong

Trump is a serial liar. It is irrefutable. It is we who decide whether or not to believe his lies.

When he doesn't need your vote, he will cast you aside and engorge his absolute immunity self at the trough of corruption and be a champion for his uber wealthy ilk. Oops, too late.

It does make one wonder why anyone averse to the mere existence of the members of a board would be following and posting to it. I honestly didn't notice the board the posts were on and had just assumed it was the Politics board, based on the ignorance and misinformation. We're used to trolls here!

I believe the followers of Hitler believed much the same......

And for comparison: Liberal Goes Back In Time To Kill Hitler

For a longer explanation from a history perspective: Was Nazism Right Wing or Left Wing? An Answer From History

While this history perspective speaks of a left-right spectrum and even the horseshoe diagram, I prefer a two-dimensional diagram. There is the regular left-right on one axis, and libertarian-authoritarian on the other. While not perfect, this is much better than the two-dimensional spectrum. The horseshoe diagram he shows approaches this two-dimensional graph without getting there.

FYI: Hitler claimed to be vegetarian, but his actual diet does not bear this out.

As far as I can tell, the first link goes to a fictional drama so I fail to see how it applies to this discussion.

The second link reinforces my personal opinion that you spend far too much time getting sucked down the YouTube rabbit hole of weirdos who also have too much time on their hands

FYI: Hitler claimed to be vegetarian, but his actual diet does not bear this out.

As for the above quote....WTF? It may relate to one of those links but I have no intention of wasting my time on them so I’ll never know.

You always seem to have a head full of the opinions of others that you soak up and spew out from time to time to time.

Several historians and commentators suggest that the idea of
Adolf Hitler's vegetarianism was exaggerated or manipulated by Joseph Goebbels as a propaganda effort to portray him as a disciplined, ascetic, and humane figure

Successfully apparently

If you don't want to see a board (for example, the Astronomy board):

1. Under Boards (3rd column in the light blue banner), click Browse Boards.

2. Scroll through the list of boards until you find Astronomy.

3. In the far-right column of the Astronomy row, click the eraser icon with the green plus sign. Once the plus sign becomes a red X, you will no longer see any posts about Uranus or other sketchily-named celestial bodies.

To see posts from a board again, click the eraser icon.

(I posted this comment on the political board because many folks don't want to see posts from here.)
