Lightning Bolt of J Walkers (6 years old) lost his first tooth tonight. One of his first thoughts after he got it out was to ask his daddy to post it on AQ. He's very proud, and wanted to share the news with all of you. I know it's not a letterboxing milestone, but so what!

What a great milestone! We really like the story, Little Rabbits First Tooth, by Lucy Bate. Don't know if it is still in print or not, but it is a great addition to such an occasion.
Congrats, Lightning Bolt!

Wow Lightning Bolt! You lost a tooth! That is awesome! Congratulations! You must be getting really big and growing up because you're going to have to really take good care of your teeth now that the permanent ones are coming in! :-) But, you can do it - I'm sure!

God bless!

Wouldn't a tooth fairy stamp be cool that would stamp the kids hand
(I know many leave glitter lotion on the pillow and arms of the child!)?
Loosing your first tooth is just awesome! Congrats big guy!

I remember my 3 boy's first teeth lost. Now, my 4 year old has her very own shinny tooth (a permanent silver crown on her baby molar that she will keep in to her double digits!) the tooth fairy will have to start investing in the stock market to pay for that one!

I remember the first time I lost a tooth fondly. I was in a bowling alley where my mom was bowling, and I was goofing around with my cousin (about a year older than me) who hit me in the mouth and out popped a tooth. I went running through the bowling alley yelling for my mommy. =)

Good times.... A second tooth fell out a few days later. They were already loose before I was hit in the mouth, but the hit definitely accelerated things. *nodding*

Lightning Bolt is happy to announce that someone left a dollar in his room in exchange for a special first tooth. The tooth was in a baggie, and she took the whole bag!!

My six yr old (the Ferg) lost his first tooth on the way home from letterboxing. We stopped at a McD's in the area and as usual the kids went off to playland while we ordered the food. While the kids were eating we noticed a hole in ferg's mouth. When we asked he didn't know what happened to it. We were going to chalk it up to being lost but Shoebee offered to take a look in playland and after 45 minutes of looking lo and behold there it was on the floor next to the shoe shelf. (Shoebee looked pretty funny climbing in playland) The Ferg was so happy we found it. He was even happier when he got 5 bucks for it. :)

$5!! Wow! The tooth fairly in my neck of the woods still leave quarters. We need to move before my 3-year-old starts losing hers. I'm most impressed!

THat exact same thing happened to me...only it was my sister...and I was at home...but it was almost the same. She popped me in the mouth and out popped my tooth!
Large talons, of the fambly lost his first tooth at a skating rink when he fell on one of those benches on the sides. He was so proud, cause he had seen big brother lose teeth. I was horrified, because it came out with the root still intact.

Congratulations Lightning Bolt!!! You'll have to make a cootie out of this experience. And man are you lucky, I used to only get change in exchange for my teeth. A dollar, Wow!!!!

Here when teeth are lost, they are exchanged for DVDs. I too remember the days when

quarters were the going exchange rate. Talk about inflation!!!

Congrats Lightning Bolt!!!! I love to see those holey smiles! :)

Computer Monster lost his first one thanks to an ear of corn at my Mom and Dad's! We were afraid that he swollowed it there for a minute!

He pulled the second one out himself at school one day.....I'll never forget the proud look on his face as he walked to the car clutching his little wad of paper towels!!! :)

The tooth fairy in our section of Anderson gives 5 bucks for your very FIRST tooth you ever lose, then it's a dollar after that!

shhhhh,
although, I think we are out of the business these days.....all the disposable teeth have "been spent"
the tooth fairy brought 50 cent pieces to my crew!! Except when we were in Fla at Disney World and katwrangler lost a tooth in line at the race car ride, the tooth fairy brought one of those special disney commenrative coins! WOW! What a trip that was!

I want to lose teeth at some of your houses! We only do dollars for the first tooth. It will be down to quarters again from now on.
