Today I received a notification from a geocacher (yes, a geocacher) who found the missing Backpack I and Map I of my Dora the Explorer Goes Letterboxing series. It was originally planted in August 2004 and the geocacher was kind enough to pick it up and contact me. Not an easy task either. I made a newbie mistake back then and put them in camotaped tins. The geocacher had to pry it open (like I did for the other original 3) with a hammer and screwdriver. He/she also gave me the gps coordinates. I think I'll go and figure out how far it travelled from its original position. I was also informed by another letterboxer that the newer containers contained some moisture and that maple sugaring was going on in the park now.

Three Cheers for Geocachers! I'm gonna learn how to use that gps.
