For those of you who like "butter" the packaging of the 4 X 4 X 1/2" material can be used to make the covers for your logbooks.
Take a 4 X 6 index card, cut in half and assemble 6 signatures so you have an insert 2 X 3".
Pull apart the the sleeve that fits over the carving material. Cut down to 5 1/2". Make sure you still have the creased side still attached as that is the secret.Viola! Its the perfect size.
Glue a cover material on or not.
Recyling at its best. If you buy the carton of Mastercarve you can use the carton for 2 more 3 X 4" logbook cover.

That sounds like a great idea. I like the pink stuff the best for carving (I'm new and the density makes it harder for me to make mistakes. But I like the white Master Carve because it inks so much better.
One question though, what is meant by "assemble 6 signatures" in your instructions for using the Master Carve sleave as a log book cover?
Thanks.

I agree that Mastercarve inks really well. That's why even though I carve all my stamps from PZ Cut, my signature stamp is made from a thick block of MasterCarve. I have only had to recarve it once and I have stamped over 2,000 times with each one!

what is meant by "assemble 6 signatures <quote\>
signatures are the little stacks of paper that makes up the book. 6 signatures made out of 4 index cards are the perfect size. If you take the 4 X 6 cards and cut them along the 6" side to make them4 X 3 and then fold them to make them 2 X 3 you then have the perfect size for the "mastercarve" cover.
