OK, have just survived our first gathering, I would only remember one thing when I sign up for a gathering. If I have signed up and find that I cannot go, it is important that I contact my host or remove my name from the list.

Ya see, we provided hotdogs and chili and all the fixin's.....and 80 people signed up....so at 2 dogs per person, that's 160 hotdogs and buns and equal amounts of chili and other stuff. Well, we had a good group of 50 people. I think everyone had enough to eat, but we had the food for the other 30 people too!

It will take us a long time to eat 60 hotdogs!! Guess the bottom line is, if you find you can't attend, please send your regrets...even if it's the night before.

(hotdogs for breakfast, hotdogs for lunch, hotdogs for dinner......ugh!)

Or worse yet..the other way around! I asked some far out-of-towners to bring beverages, as it was the easist for them...but when they had to cancel it made us short on beverages! I will now be a smart host and ask some locals as well as some far away folks to bring beverages. After all, if they aren't used, they are easy to bring home!

Your point is well made though...

Corn dogs, anyone?

Ah man...and we were holding back so that others could have hotdogs! I think we only ate 1 per person...so now you have 6 more hotdogs to eat! :o)
