Portrait Stamp - new Sig Stamp
Board: Stamp Carving and Mounting

I had no idea when I started this that carving stamps thingie that it would be soooooo... um... well.. darn fun! I did my first portrait stamp tonight of my son and I loved it so much I went and did one of my personal avatar. I colored it in with these art pencils I have (woodless), but anything black (or almost black since my book I'm using for carved stamps has some tooth to the paper) is the stamp! So now it's my official sig stamp and the tree, well that'll have to go in a box, or become a PT.

Crude compared to some of you guys.. but oh it's so much fun! I can't STOP! LOL I carved two other stamps tonight too.. oh and the kids did two stamps also.

Tee (marching ..er carving .. her way up to the 300 stamp mark a few at a time!)

Awesome new sig stamp! Isn't stamp carving addictive? I've been thinking about carving a new sig stamp too but I haven't come up with the just the right design yet.

It IS addicting, isn't it? PZ Cut is the way to go if you are an addict.

Lovely job on your signature stamp!

Thank you!

I understand about the right design. Shadohart came about... um.. many years ago (not about to say two decades, not about to.. oh.. did I type that out loud) ;-> when I came up with the nickname for a (dice and paper) role playing game. I found an image and then went to work on it for the result that is pretty much the carved image. I've used it as my online avatar since the early bbs days (which didn't let you upload images, so groups that played mudds together just emailed images to each other).
