Oh, I almost forgot to mention. Every few months, I like to read the answers to the question about what feature people would most like to see added to Atlas Quest. http://www.atlasquest.com/people/answers.html?gQuestionId=36

I actually do read these and often make changes to AQ because of them. =) In fact--I added the Google Maps specifically because SOOO many people wrote about wanting a feature like that. Drop what I was working on and started on the maps instead.

Not that I can make everyone happy, but it kind of works as a "to-do" list for me. =)

These are ones I'd like to see implemented...

Quote Free Beer & Pizza

The ability to cook dinner for me.

alien letterboxes

How about a list of lets say / well kept secrets. Tunnels, abandoned buildings, an Urban Exploration/Spooky Place Section

1. Add a few more lasers! 2. Change the ending of "Gone With the Wind" so Rhet does give a darn! 3. Have Kenny Loggins sing your theme song.

The beer dispenser.

A massage instead of message button.

A Death Ray.

Secret meanings to Zen koans.

chickens chasing the curser

Trailside delivery service

What's your opinion on these ones?

Quote a simple PF count on your page .. or on your profile?

The ability to search for letterboxers by location, not just name.

Ability to enter found boxes even when not reported as planted.

Ditch the Premium Members. It's exclusionary.

A running log of entries from people who find each box...

I'd like to be able to see the list of boxes I've found.

I'd like to be able to view the online logbook of letterboxes not my own.

being able to put your finds in your log book.

That it was less US optimized

The color-coded ribbons and trophies are a little confusing - maybe just actual numbers of plants/finds?

I really do like the food and beer dispensing idea.

I am a rock hound. It was my first love of hunting:-) Anyway, long ago a dear German friend, who is now deceased, gave me an exuisite specimen of baddeleyite, which has become the crowning jewel (so to speak) of my collection. Incidently, it's pronounced bu-day-lee-yite .

And, of course... I'm a babe!

Well, people often claim that there are no vowels in the Welsh language, so maybe that's why these are so easy for me to read... On the other hand, I have always maintained that there are far more vowels in Welsh -- we'd have to remove all the Ys and Ws, too! ;-)

MO UR4Me = Missouri, You Are For Me

I moved to Missouri (MO) from California 14 years ago and I LOVE it here. I thought I would hate it, but it is so beautiful and green. (OK, so right now it's actually brown, but it's always brown in San Diego except for the 2 weeks in spring when there's a bit of rain to green things up and the mustard plants bloom. Then it's all brown again. It's pretty in the tourist areas where things get watered, but out where normal people actually live, it's mostly brown.) In the summertime here, everything is a vibrant, lush green. I just can't get enough of it. When we first moved here, I couldn't believe that there was grass growing along the highways. I thought "Who waters all this?" After a while, I realized that God waters it! (And the state of MO mows it.)

I actually did get the idea from a similar license plate in San Diego a looong time ago - SDUR4ME).

We got our trail name from a "religion" that we have created for ourselves. We call it L*U*N*A which stands for Living,Understanding,Nurturing,Appreciating. It is a little bit Pagan, a little bit Native American spirituality and a bit of honoring Mother Nature and all that she has to offer. Because there are 7 of us in our family we are definitely a crew- so altogether we are the LUNA crew.

thanks, what a fun question!

Hi, MOUR4ME -- I'm down the street (well, Highway 70) from you in Columbia. :)

My trail name evolved over a number of years - I am a Web programmer by day, so that's where the Web part comes from. I participated in an online and mailart project with a number of other carvers and was known as Webfoot, Wizard of Internet Intelligence, since I kept the online gallery for the project. When the project changed and everyone involved took on an animal persona to carve and depict in various situations, I kept the name Webfoot, but came up with a critter that would match the name. When it came time for me to choose a trailname for letterboxing, it just seemed like a natural. I write Web applications by day and hotfoot (er... Webfoot) it around hunting for boxes in my spare time!! :)

Quote How did everyone come up with their trail name?

Ours came from the characters we were playing in a game called Terris (the game we met in). I was playing a sprite and the Highlander was playing (crazy as it sounds) a HIGHLANDER! LOL
