My son ....... already famous for the book he's going to write "Five Million Miles Just for a Stamp".....

We were surfing the movie channels looking for something to watch while we "camped" in the living room tonite. I was looking through the index of movies and saw "Cinderella Man" -

I said "Ooooh, Cinderella Man, I've always wanted to see that one."

My son: "What's it about?" (I could just see his literal mind putting some man in a princess dress and he was thinking - why?).

I said: "It's about a boxer."

He said (after a pause): "A MOVIE about a letterboxer? I didn't think that was legal!" I had to peek over at him to see if he was kidding - he wasn't - it was late and he was tired. He takes the secrecy thing very seriously...... LOL!!

Mama Fox (<---- would run away with Russell Crowe if he would ask ;-))

A few days ago we took a mid-week boxing run to find a new box in our area (we usually only go on weekends so that we can all be there- but the paternal member of G4 gave us a pass to go it alone) We followed the clues, found the box and opened her up. My 7 year old was the official "unwrapper" of the stamp. When he got it open, his face fell and he said "AW - it's store bought!" It was, in fact, a stamp very well carved and so neatly mounted that it fooled him (he's used to the hacked up little pieces of rubber that his mom plants!)

We really need to work on this kid. Recently we went to an open house fund raiser at his school which included dinner catered from a fairly nice chain type restaurant in the area. About 1/2 way through the meal he said "I don't want you to think we eat like this all the time. Usually it's a lot better" Needless to say his lunchroom manager was happy!

I took our copy of the "Mother's Almanac" out with us today while letterboxing. We had other stuff to do, and I thought somewhere in all of that I would have some downtime and I would peruse the book to find ideas for an upcoming sleepover. Our seven-year-old leaned forward at one point and asked, "Hey Mom, Can I read your 'all-man-ic'?" We corrected the pronunciation, and then thought, hmmmm, with this particular mom, maybe it SHOULD be pronounced all manic!
