Today Happydaze hosted the "2011 Letterboxer's Christmas" event. This event was also to take a collection of toys for the local "Toys for Tots" campaign. Last year, when we did this event, we collected 51 toys. We set a goal of 100 toys for this year.

As of 5PM, we unpacked our vehicles of all the toys collected. With the help of the Letterboxing community and family members, we flew by 100 and ended up with a total of 225 collected for today. We want to thank all those who attended and donated to make this such a successful event.

There will be a lot of surprised children this year with what we have done.

We look forward to seeing everyone in the near future at other events.

And let us be the first to say to all......

Happy Holidays to Everyone!!!! We really appreciate what you all have done and should be proud. Letterboxers can make a difference in a child's life at Christmas.

You were the first (that I know of) to include a charitable cause in a letterboxing event, HappyDaze, and I think it's fantastic (which is why the OMG team later helped out the Girl Scouts and the Youth Enrichment Center of the Hilton Winn Farm). Congrats on completely blowing away your goal! Hopefully we can do it again next year! And congrats on a great event! :)
