You've been saving up those keystroke, have you? Submitting 1.4 million keystrokes with a simple double click of the mouse. I'm on to you, and I've been saving up some keystrokes myself. You're still just #2. ;o)

Yeah, well, I have better things to do that check the keyboard counter every day. Once a week is good enough for me. =)

Maybe. Maybe not. If you look at my submitted info, you'll noticed I only logged one computer. There's still a laptop I've been writing my book on that I haven't had to bring in to pull me ahead. Not yet, at least. ;o)

BELIEVE THAT! 'Cause I'm just sitting here envious of the enormous lead these two have. Ever since summer ended, I'm just not on the computer enough to come close to the amount I logged in August! :-(

ive been afradi to use cq's computer incase i mess up the "race". and thats hard! no aq!
nearly hair pulling worthy- yet it is pretty funny to see the sweating and constantly glancing at their numbers to see if they are ahead- and the feverish typing when they arent- man this race is hilarious. :)
hummm..yet who do we all vote for?

the one who give us aq and keeps it running? or the one who feeds me?
humm..hard choice

actually, no, I can't share the recipe. :P I don't make them.
There's a great place, called Schwab's Market, just outside of Sprite's hometown...that's the place that makes them. I discovered them about two months ago on our last trip out to Sprite and Highlander's.
MmmmMmmm tasty! :D

BUT.... if you REALLY wanted them, you could order them online and get them dropped in the mail to you :D

I could give you a basic breakdown of what i type, if you'd like... :D

Notes for class- I'm in a full load of courses at Buffalo State, and I type ALL my notes, plus all my handouts (that way I can't lose them- still have a digital version even after the paper version is gone!)
Video games- I play video games all the time, and many, if not all, require use of the keyboard.
Writing- I'm an amateur writer, but pretty prolific, if I do say so myself...plus, I belong to an online forum for original writing, so I get a lot of work done there, too.
Atlas Quest, of course, is a little bit of my type count...plus the other letterboxing site I occasionally frequent... :D
The Yahoo! Groups for letterboxing that I belong to count as well, of course...
Let's not forget all the email that I respond to...AQ mail and regular mail....
Oh, and then my classic teenager lifestyle- i spend my life on the computer, so I instant message all the time, usually to at least three people (Sprite being one of them! :D), but sometimes as many as ten or twelve...plus a chat room that I drop into on that other letterboxing site...
Plus any miscellanous work I do, google searching (I'm pretty thorough), etc.

All in all, it really does add up.

Of course, it adds up to 'Celtic Quinn is a complete dork', but still.... :P

Y'know what scares me? The only thing that stops me from leading the classic teenager lifestyle is apparently lack of time! During the summer, I AM this person! I do slightly less IMing that CQ because too many of my ex-students know my Yahoo ID, but other than that, I do everything this kid does. My video games USED to require more keyboard action when they were text based, but now that the Sims has taken over my life, I just click a lot (and I don't have the whatpulse running since the game chews up a TON of memory).

Wow. What does this MEAN???

Quote Of course, it adds up to 'Celtic Quinn is a complete dork', but still.... :P

Apparently, you can now order them online! I know they can send apples anywhere in the country, but now they do the cookies and stuff, too. Check out this link: http://www.schwabfarm.com/cart/ Seems like the site is still under construction, but you could definitely call them.

Be warned, though...for married or committed couples, these cookies are NOT to be trifled with. They are tantamount to cheating on each other and NO church can absolve you from blame (unless you give them the cookies, too and then you can use that as piety leverage!)!

The (contemplating cheating on the Highlander right NOW with some cookies) Sprite & the (would've ALREADY been doing the dirty deed while she typed this if he'd HAD some cookies) Highlander

I'd guess that 70-90% of my computer typing and clicking have something to do with Atlas Quest. Depending on what exactly counts as "related" to AQ. The book I'm writing, for instace, isn't directly related to AQ, but when it's done, I want to sell it AQ. Does that count? You could make a good case for it either way.

If it wasn't for AQ, I'd spend VERY little time on the computer. Those two years after being laid off but before starting work on AQ--I practically forgot how to type! =)

You people in NY have too much fun - I wanna move there!

WAIT! what did I just say........ I'm a child of the South.................... (looking around to see if any of my relatives heard me say that.........)

Ok, here's the official statements: If I ever have to enter the Federal Witness Protection Program, I'm requesting NY!! I want to come to that DSS event!! So maybe I'll get in a super long vacation there some day!!

Hey, I'm a child of the South, too, so it's okay to crave NY! :-) I just like having ACTUAL seasons instead of a really long autumn and a really long summer! LOL

Actually, I grew up in KY, we had four seasons there. And here in the WNC mountains, we also have four seasons. I'd be a bit out of whack with only two..... ;-)) And my brother lives in NYC (and his wife is from TN) - they used to talk about moving back, but they just bought a lovely co-op, and stopped talking about moving back...... so I think they are there to stay!

And, when I was a kid, my parents (from much deeper in the South than I've ever lived!) used to take us to vacation in NY a lot. We spent some time at the Finger Lakes, I love Cooperstown and Saratoga Springs was a semi-regular destination. (Do you want to hear about my other brother who lived in a monastery in NY for 10 years?). So the draw is legit and in the family ;-))

Well, you didn't start it (but how certain are we of that....??), but who else could have so eloquently described it in such full and lurid detail, to the point that we are still talking about it on the boards three days later....... ;-)) I think such a memorable virus needs to be named after a memorable person!! ;-))

Sorry about the webbed feet, Highlander....

The Highlander lived his entire life up here in WNY, but I was born in Tallahassee, then did a pretty big loop through St. Louis, eastern Ohio/Western PA and then back down to Texas. But I really liked seeing the full complement of seasons changing the way I did when I was up north, so I was the only one in my family who was thrilled to get a chance to come back up here. We like to go to the Leatherstocking Region in the winter, actually...2 feet of snow all over Cooperstown is WONDERFUL when you're all snug and warm in a B & B! We also visit Lake Saranac and Placid when we can...they really know how to do cold weather right!
