WHAT THE H*LL is a knoll?

Here's a definition:

A small, rounded hill, often associated with resistant rock.

OK, great. But when I followed the clues that this term was in, but I didn't really find something that stuck out to me as a knoll. In fact, the terrain around this box generally was all rounded and hilly. It seemed to me like it was all knolls, and shouldn't a knoll be a singular feature?

No matter, I found the box, but, what does a knoll look like in the woods? Does it hang out beneath bridges and eat children? Does it wear galoshes and sing "Toora Loora Loora?" I just don't know.

No, that is a troll.

No, that is a Gnome. A Gnome..., a troll..., a gnome..., a troll..., A KNOLL!

So a knoll is what happens when a troll and a gnome love each other very, very much?

In all seriousness, this is just part of the challenge (and the fun) of letterboxing to me. What is a "knoll" to the planter may not be to the finder. You end up trying to see things through the planter's eyes in order to solve the clues, and it usually gives you a quite different perspective on the world!

Only if they don't use protection!

I find that sometimes when I look through other letterboxer's eyes, that they are myopic.

I was trying to be jocular. I love the chance to go out and explore what other people have seen. My contact prescriotion is -8.5 and -9 respectively, if anyone has eyesight problems, it's me. I thought the tone of the my original post (galoshes and bridges and such) would have conveyed my intention. Sorry it was misconstrued.

I apologize for the harshness of tone of my post. I did misinterpret your post as a bit rude. I did go back to the orginal post and noted the humor, but there didnt seem to be when you posted a reply to Mn8x that was about using protection. It just seemed you were being strangely insulting to another letterboxer. The reference to seeing from someone else's viewpoint was in another post which i originally missed.

My sincerest apologies. I will remove my post.

Ha, no harm no foul. I just wanted to be clear I wasn't being a jerk. 3M's, if I pass you on the trail, we'll do an extra-special exchange.
