I did the inevitable last night.....
Board: Stamp Carving and Mounting

After all the warnings, postings, etc...... I was carving a quick little stamp to go with a PLB katwrangler was sending out and I was carving a treble cleff with music notes and do you know what I did???? Hint: I drew the image on the stamp rather than traced and imprinted...you know what is coming.....It was backwards!!
Whew-I hope I now have THAT out of the way!
I guess I'm a member of the "club" now!

Welcome to the club:)

And yes you do have it out of the way now:) I haven't carved backwards since the first time(knocking on all the wood I can find). But of course I've only done 3 stamps since then;)

I am grand poobah of this club
*eye roll*
I have done it more than once...
one of the big oopsies I did is actually planted and is among one of the plants I did in preparation for the Mtn gathering back in October. Those paying close attention when stamping in that day may have noticed...but I'm never telling which one it was ;P

Are the plants you place for the event going to be staying in place longterm?

I'm not wishing for mistakes, but I will be sure to keep you in mind. Please don't take that as bragging either. I know a sdrawkcab one is on the way!!

I just altered a backwards stamp a few days ago.

I can make it either a temporary box (and send it back to the owner) or a permanant plant and keep it down here in Cane Creek Park in Waxhaw NC Up to you.

Well I have already planned to do something "backwards" for the backwards event! I told katwrangler that night "that's OK, we'll just take it to waxhaw and it will fit in with the theme of the event-the only thing now is you guys are on to me! We thought we would just be so witty and cool with our backwards stamps!!!!! Now-how to incorporate it into a box!.........

I used one of my "carved backwards" stamps as a HH, and used it as a play on words!!

It is called - "one sent back" It was originally to be a penny for a series, and carved the #1 and cent sign backwards. So, just called it "one sent back"

I launched that in Cape Cod during the O' Christmas Tree!!!!

I have been away from the site for a few days because of the birth of my first grandchild, but I have just carved my first "backward" stamp, and the first time I ever tried letters, so guess I'm broke in now. At the time I saw the request for these stamps, I didn't have one. I am not able to find the post now because of my newbie stupidity. (grin) If whoever needed the stamps can email me, I have a cemetary where I carved "RIP" backwards that you can have. (sigh)
