Boxes in Columbia

Please, please, please, when some of you all come through Columbia, could you please plant a box here for me to find. I can't beleive that in the capital of the state there is nobody else planting boxes but me. There are about three people that planted boxes that I have already found, but they don't seem to be active in planting anymore. Soooooo .... I have to travel if I want to find any boxes. Not that I mind traveling, but it would be nice to be able to just zip out and find one every once in awhile. Anyway, just remember me here all alone in Columbia when you pass through. (pouting and snorting)

Have you found the little unclaimed box in Gaston? I'm not sure if it's still there, but the clues are still floating around out there in the letterboxing basement. ERVetChick and I found it years ago but the placers have long been out of the hobby. Since you're in Columbia, and it's unclaimed, if it's still there you can officially adopt it! :-)

And yes, I plan to do something in that direction, and watch for a box in Newberry very soon! <wink>

I have also been disappointed in the lack of boxes in our state capital! Hmmm.... I think I need to plan a trip to the zoo sometime soon: )

I'll have to see if I can hunt that box down. How do you know when a box has been unclaimed and you can adopt it? Guess this is one of my newbie questions again. (laughing) I sure will be looking for ones in Newberry. That's not too far from me at all and I have two nephews that like to go with us and they live close to Newberry also.

I think there might be an old box at the zoo that I plan to go look and see if it's still there. The people that planted it have not planted any new ones and not sure if it's still there or not, but figured I could go look and if it's not there, at least I got to enjoy the animals. (smile)

I saw that one and I have FINALLY figured out the clue and hopefully can go soon to TRY and find it. I'm new at boxing and have a few attempts at some boxes which I never did find. After more experience, have to go back and find the attempts I made at those. Get out there and hide some more and remember, I'm a newbie and have a new 10 year old tagging along. (grin) I have planted three in Columbia and one in Chapin and then moved toward Prosperity, Ninety-Six, and Greenwood. Actually will be planting one at Harbison Forest State Park this weekend. So keep your eye out and get moving on your planting. (dying laughing) We have to get Columbia rocking with letterboxes so we'll get some of the Greenwood group over here. (eyeballing Greenwood group).

I agree that Anderson needs a bunch of boxes. Tho' Anderson is 45 minutes from us, it has our closest Sams, Michael's, Hobby Lobby etc. On our shopping trips we could get those :)

If I can get a stamp carved by Monday, and if I can get my daughter to come with me.....I have boxes to plant in Honea Path, Belton, Williamston, Anderson, Pendleton, a bonus box, and one to replace in Clemson. So, even if I can't get these planted this week, they are coming your way.

Hooray! We will look forward to seeing all those new boxes. We planned to go to GA and get some today, but had a sick little boy. Maybe next week!

I know what I'll be doing as soon as those pop up in my mailbox!!!! Yippeeee!!!!

*gasp*

Oh, no!!! I gotta get mine carved!!! Looks like I'll be making a trip to Hobby Lobby this week for some more Pink Stuff!!!! Yea!!!

Aaannnnndddd......there should be another new box in Anderson in the next couple of weeks! I'm finally planting the one in honor of my daughter's success in potty training!!! WhooHooo!!
This is turning into the greatest week!!!! Gotta get out and scout some places! The original hiding place had to be axed due to it closing for a few months a year! :(

I can relate! I had both in diapers when she was first born! Kolby ( computer monster ) decided that he didn't want to use the potty until he was 4! I had Kaitlee ( moongazer ) when he was 3!!!!!

Both of mine have been hard, when it's come to the potty! This has been a looonnnggg hard battle, but we have finally emerged on the other side!!! LOL!!!

This weekend I'm going on a panty buying frenzy!! She will have tons to choose from!!! LOL!!!

Tell me about it!!! That is the hump that we just got over!

What finally got mine to do it, was taking her big girl panties away. I had tried everything from stickers to money, to buying a toy to bribe her with! Nothing worked.....until we found some Tinkerbell panties! She wore a pair for a whole day without a problem....but the next day....not so good! I told her that she would not get to wear anymore panties until she started to "you-know-what" on the potty. A couple of days later....taa-dah!!! And she's been doing it for a week now!

Wow, the battles you fight as a parent, huh?! ROFLOL!!!!

Our little boy was the biggest battle. What finally did it for him was going out back on the lawn. I know... sounds crazy, but whatever it takes, right? I don't want them to grow up too quickly but am extremely thankful the diaper days are over.
