The asheville "Twelfth Night" gathering is behind us but oh, what fond memories :)

I had such a great time just planting for this event.
Learning about Zealandia, the bridge and then exploring those places as well as the Grove park Inn was a real treat for me...

All the talk last week on the boards about Helen, Zealandia, The Pink lady and Helen's Bridge was in response to plants and locations associated with the event.

On Friday MoJo and I headed out to plant several boxes in Asheville.
Three of them in haunted locations.
We saved the plants at helen's Bridge and Zealandia until later...since we both knew in our hearts that we both had the balls to summon Helen that we had better not take chances. if Helen messed with our car and it wouldn't start...at least the other boxes woud be planted already...then our misfortunes wouldn't affect the event quite so much LOL

anyways...
It had rained ALL day so the wipers on my car had been used all day.

We find Helen's Bridge...
*prickley skin and cold chills*
and plant "Helen's Haunt" first.
The entire time I am wondering where Helen hang that morning when she was found
*more prickle skin*
We are talking about Helen and using her name quit frequestly...and discussing summoning her when MoJo's mouth begins to bleed. No cappin joke here folks! She has a habit of spitting occassionally on the ground. She picked it up while pitching and playing ball. She had just said..." I'm doing it! I am summoning Helen"...then she spit on the ground and it was BLOOD. *gasp* Momma hen here immdeiately grabbed her jaw and said open up...nothing visible but saliva...until she spit again...BLOOD.
*hairs standing on end*
*heart fluttering*
"What the..."
It was rainy but hadn't been really cold until then...
I was literally chilled to the bone.
It took MoJo a good 2 or 3 more spits before the blood was gone.
in more of a question than comment i asked "we need to go?"
"Nah!! Let's keep going" MoJo said.
*sigh*
unfortunately she is a girl after my own heart... just fearless enough...
If I had insisted we leave she would never let me hear the end of it...so on we go to investigate the top of the bridge. When we get up there it is just a quiet nothingness that surrounded us...very unlike the atmosphere a day later when the sun was out.
wait...something catches my eye
I walk to the far end of the tiny, ancient, unused & grassy bridge.
Right here...hanging on a briar limb that was bouncing up and down...was a rosary and crucifix!
It bounced and swayed the entire time we were there with no wind or assistance except maybe the raindrops. funny though how all the other briar branches didn't move under the taps of the raindrops. *cold chills and prickle skin*

we first planted Zealandia up there...
left in our car and discovered ruins to the real Zealandia castle close by but on another road.
we returned to get the Zealandia box from the top of the bridge...the rosary was GONE...that fast.
*MAJOR cold chills*

we got outta there...went to replant the box in the ruins and play around there and at the mansion for awhile (which I highly recommend). When we were ready to leave the mountain and helen's domain...we stopped under the bridge, joined hands and asked helen to come forth...
nothing real obvious happened except a feeling of electricity which was probably just our goose bumps working extra overtime but as i started pulling away *hairs jumping around on body* I had a real, true sense of dread. I was afraid to look in my rear view...I felt helen would be hanging there. When I did try to look it was almost like there was something there but it was also weird like I couldn't see the entire bridge. MoJo was then saying the same thing..."Oh god...is she hanging from the bridge? Is she hanging mama?" We left the mountain safely but seriously...our windshield had this junk smeared all across it. It was like grease or something...no matter how I tried...the wipers wouldn't remove it and it was a real chore to see to get home in the rain that day. Even the next day there was still remnants and blurriness of the gunk...even after cleaning it well.

that night at home...
I uploaded some photos from the day...
there are 2 photos that were seperated by others with no anomalies etc.
they both show a foggish object in one area (the same area) on the side of the bridge.
is this where helen hanged?

*evil laugh*

Watta mean NOW?...:)

As much as I want to believe in spirits and ghosts...I've never seen one. BTW there is a museum here in Little Rock that was a hospital during the Civil War. It's said to be the most haounted building in Arkansas.

You lucky dog!!! Nothing happened to us while we were there.....

I think that there were just too many people up there with us at the time, but I will go back....Ohhhhhh yess, I will go back!!!!

Thank goodness nothing slapped either one of you guys!!!! It sounds like Helen can get pretty ornery!!!
