FYI
For New Years Eve this year we decided to do something different and go to the movie (in efforts to do something to keep me and DH awake for the ball to drop and not leave Katwrangler up all alone to welcome in 2007 since her brother was out celebrating elsewhere).
Anyway, we went to see Night at The Museum- Loved it-very cute movie and a lot of fun to watch.
I would recommend it for anyone just looking for pure entertainment-good family movie.
Of course it takes place at the Museum of Natural History (NYC). Having been there and also having a "past" as an archeologist I can say it definately was right up my ally!
Ben Stiller was good as always.......

I'm so glad to hear that, because I'm supposed to go see it (to get my son away from the computer/video games, if only briefly) in about an hour!

I saw the movie a couple of nights ago, but none of my family members thought I was funny when I kept asking why we had to go to the movies to spend a night at the museum. Why not cut out the middleman and just go straight to the museum? It's amazing I'm related to these people. =)

Cute movie, though.

Have to admit--the box I planted there, I called Night at the Movies. It's kind of an inside joke since I found the hiding spot while going to see Night at the Museum, but you wouldn't know that just by looking at the box. =)

I thought it was a pretty decent movie.
Although I still can't figure out why Owen Wilson isn't in the credits?

I thought it was a fun movie (not a good one, but a lot of fun to watch). CDQ didn't enjoy it nearly as much as I did. I think I embarrassed her laughing.

Agree with the review. Good clean movie for children. Did anyone get that Ben Stiller's mom was the woman at the employment agency. There were a few subtle lines as well.

Quote why Owen Wilson isn't in the credits

Uncredited appearance, I guess. I remember reading somewhere that Stiller did an uncredited appearance in one (or more) of Wilson's movies. A lot of stars have been doing this lately for their friends, I think.

I loved it! But, my absolute favorite part was in the closing credits watching Dick Van Dyke dance. HE'S STILL GOT IT! He's 81 years old and he can still move!!!!

Quote watching Dick Van Dyke dance

Now I've GOT to go see this one. I have loved watching Dick Van Dyke dance ever since I first saw Mary Poppins. My favorite of his movie dance scenes, though, has to be in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang--Me Old Bamboo.

I noticed that too!
That's kind of one of my hobbies. Noticing cameos and figuring out who's voice a cartoon character is.

Oh DUH! I sat there thinking, "Oh, cool, that's Anne Meara," but it never dawned on me that that's his mom!

YES! Wasn't it amazing how good he was?

Definitely a fun movie, all the way around.

omg, Emerald Frost and I just got home from seeing this movie and we absolutely LOVED it!!! we laughed our butts off. my two favorite parts: when Dexter keeps slapping Larry in the face over and over again, and when Larry and Atilla run to eachother screaming battle cries and Larry makes up a bunch of jibberish chatter. oh man, that was the best movie i've seen in a looong time. :)

We went and saw it the day it came out. I loved it!!!! The dancing in the credits was for sure the best part. I loved Mickey Rooney he's 86 and still as good as he used to be.

I love it when there are surprises in the credits! All those "Old" guys were great!
