Hi all,
Has anyone ever driven the entire Route? How long does it take and what are some must see things along the way? Hoping to do this in a few years.

(For those of you without kids, that's a reference to the Disney movie "Cars", btw)

I resent that! I have no children and I have seen Cars. I liked it, although Finding Nemo is still my favorite Pixar movie.

Please don't assume that simply because a person has no children that they don't enjoy animated movies. :)

Leapin' Lizards has done the whole route. They placed a number of boxes along the way at interesting locations and Sara even wrote a letterboxing article about their experience for Route 66 magazine. If you contact them, they probably can send you the article.
