Oh yeah, the UPS guy actually showed up at 6 p.m. today..in the dark, of course! I put on my boots went out to street and said:

"NO - You Can't - Not Allowed", was the repsonse.

Poor dear had no snow boots on. Merry Fecking Xmas Mr-I'm-Making-Mucho-Overtime-and-Prolly-Will-Take-Home-Today-Alone-More-Than-You-Will-In-A-Month. Dang Man in Brown, no PREsseis for me....sigh, least I did "my part."

Send some of that snow our way. Can you believe...it rained today...2 days before Christmas...and it's RAINING...in NEW HAMPSHIRE! I never thought I'd be disappointed to not have snow.

I know I know...too much snow is a bad thing! Especially in your case...obviously! Are you stuck without carving material? Do you make your own logbooks? If not...maybe now is the time to start! If all else fails...you're MORE than welcome to come to my house...and remove my fine layer of furniture protectant...that's what I call it anyway...most refer to it as dust!

Well...it's way too late/early...I need to go to bed...so I can be semi-conscious when the 3 little kiddos celebrate "Christmas morning" here tomorrow. I just finished wrapping all the presents. Three hours or so...to wrap presents that will be unwrapped in minutes...probably seconds...seems all a little crazy!

Then I have to get everyone ready to go to the in-laws....packing....hate it!

Oh, my! I was right with you a couple weeks ago. The USPS gave up on my street for a few days, too. I got a lot of exercise shoveling -- four days for me to dig my way out of my street (it's a dead-end street off a dead-end street off a dead-end street... the plows never came near my house!). Two days after I managed to get out, the FedEx truck got stuck on my street. LOL! I invited him in to get warm and have cookies.

So, aside from hours and hours of shoveling, I baked 4 batches of cookies, carved a stamp, made a logbook, made Christmas cards (which still got sent out late...), returned phone calls, baked bread, made soup... (anything to keep the kitchen warm). For some reason, I never thought of cleaning house -- is that a viable option?? ;-)
