What do you do for a living?

Just wondering, what do you all do for a living?
My husband is in a plastic modelers club and it's interesting because many of the members have similar types of jobs (technical, engineering, etc.). Meeting them at the annual banquet caused me to wonder if letterboxers tend to be a certain 'type' of person; you know like do many of us jobs where we use our creativity, or are outdoors a lot? Or are we all over the board?
I do desktop publishing as well as IS and accounting support for a church.

I'm military, currently in college, with a career path of law enforcement. My fiancee (a letterboxer by force) is law enforcement.
Very interesting question you pose.... curious to see others' answers...

My husband is a correctional officer and I am a stay-at-home mom who does home daycare. I am also a choreographer and dance teacher a few nights a week. We also have 5 sons, so they are probably our biggest full time job :)

I'm a part-time interactive developer/IT support/production artist for small ad agency. I majored in graphic design, but I've since realized my real passion is playing in the dirt, and someday I hope to drive a Bobcat (skid steer) and make things grow for a living...

To pay the bills, I work for a mortgage company where I review closed loans to see if the company will buy them for servicing, etc.
In January I start grad school for library & information science. Not quite sure what my focus will be, but archiving, digital libraries, international & special libraries are areas of interest.

I majored in Photography in college and married a marine engineer (who thinks Boxing is dumb and is now an IT guy at a hospital!). I have been in retail management and my own boss in direct sales through to upper management. I have 4 children and stay at home with them now, but we are also involved in an Aquarium Fish club, MOPs, PTA, Scouts, and formerly trained/showed/and breed Dalmatians (of course we belonged to one club for odedience and one for show dogs!). My friend, Dunhom 5, says that I am in more clubs than she has ever seen anyone, but I know she is wrong, someone else must be a joiner, too! I am crafty and LOVE the stamp carving and logbook making! I am learning and reading all those great tutorials on-line!

I'm an accountant for a coal handling company - we move the coke to a company that makes coke for steel-making. However, we run 6 different companies out of the same office, so I do have duties with the other companies as well.

My husband works part time for a major package shipper (well right now he is working a lot more than part time!). I am a part time teacher. Funny, too, because these are not what we are degreed in. My husband has a bachelors in Computer Science and a masters in Counseling. I have a bachelors in Electrical Engineering and a masters in Christian Education (well, I guess that one is close.) I guess you could say we're in a very lengthy and unexpected transition phase. Or at least that we're indecisive. :-)

I am a stay home mom looking for a part time job to make some extra money. My husband and I own a small gift shop where he works making personalized photo products. T-Shirts, mugs, mousepads, sweatshirts, china things...etc...pretty much whatever you can think of to put a picture on we can try it.

Wow, LTW, I'm a medical transcriptionist too! That's cool. You don't come across our kind very often, do you? I do that at home too, for a company called Spheris. Yes, it's tough to be disciplined enough to sit all day and do my work when no one is looking. But it definitely has it's perks too. No driving, no getting dressed if I don't want too (haha!) But it's time for a change, and I'm anxious for my transition from this job to my new career in nursing. I am a junior BSN student and will graduate in May 2008.

I'm a theatrical scenic artist. I run the scenic studio for a large regional theater, where I am in charge of all the surface treatments on the scenery we build. I used to freelance, and for eight summers I was in charge of painted scenery for an opera company in upstate New York.
Robb's job is recovering from his spinal cord injury. Prior to that, he was an actor, teacher, and also a scenic artist.

I'm a high school special ed teacher, which doesn't even begin to cover it.
After school, I'm the senior class advisor, sell tickets to the basketball games, I'm directing our production of Grease this spring, I'm a night school instructor, and when one of our little cherubs isn't able to come to school for an extended period of time (either because of illness/injury or expulsion) I'm one of the home-bound instructors.
Somtimes, my cat's like, "Who are you, again?"

I am a full time anesthesiologist, and the mother of 3, two still at home.
I also am the junior warden at my church (kind of like the vice president along with the senior warden)
and I am a catechist. I took over 200 hours of training for my Sunday School, and have been setting up and making items for our atriums for two years. It is quite time consuming and quite gratifying.
I also letterbox as often as I can, and do the postal thing too.
How do I do it all?
My husband is a stay at home Dad, a builder (currently trying to restore Dale End Farm)
and a superman with OCD.

I'm not working at the moment for health reasons (that are finally getting better!) but I worked for the past 10 years as an Income Tax preparer and was a Brownie Leader. My girls are now 14 and 15. I will be returning to school (hopefully this fall) to the Licensed Practical Nurse program.

I am a sometimes stay at home mom, overeager volunteer and occasional freelance writer (mainly for my long-term financial clients). My background is public relations, and I may or may not get back on that treadmill.
My husband is an electrical engineer who works as an IT manager, soccer coach & apparently an almost full-time lego piece finding assistant to our children.

as listed on My Profile: Illustrator (future Nursing Student).
I have been working part time as a illustrator (15 yrs.), specializing in interpretive exhibits. Example: link is to a traveling exhibit I illustrated last year touring the country. This project is directed to 3-8 yr olds http://www.omsi.edu/store/traveling/unit.cfm?ID=20. Keep a look-out for it at a science museum near you!
I am making a career change and am finished with most of the prerequisites for nursing school. Applying to schools, said with fingers crossed.

I am a silk-screen printer. Occasionally I get stuck inspecting. I hate that.
My company prints heat transfer graphics for many different industries. The department I work in prints graphics that are applied to washers/dryers, stoves, refrigerators, vacuums and other appliances. Our company also prints the labels that are put on graphite golf club shafts (Taylor Made, Callaway, Nike), arrow shafts, toothbrush handles(the cute cartoon characters), shavers, hand tools, soap dispensers and other plasitics. We also have one department that prints the decals for the "tagless T".
