We stayed at the Plume of Feathers in Princetown, which is smack dab in the middle of Dartmoor! I loved the hike to Nuns Cross Farm, Childe's Tomb, (of course) Cranmere Pool, Haytor, Bennett's Cross.

Some places I wish I had time to see were St. Michael's Church on Brentor, Buckfast Abbey, Compton Castle, and much more. If Google maps had only existed back in 2004 when I visited.....

I could stay for a year and not see everything there is to see on the moor!

I got a cool tip from user paper trail. She was wondering if I’d gotten my own stamp back for her recent postal ring tracker.

1. Go to your stamp/box’s page
2. Click or tap the button for “Record checkup”
3. Scroll down to “Action performed”
4. Click “Found and checked”
5. Click or tap the Save button
6. Go to the tracker page for the postal
7. Scroll down to the grid—your stamp will now have a green checkmark instead of a blue O
8. Notice the other participants in the grid who have a green checkmark for their stamps—they know this tip! 😊

Marking your own stamp as found helps the owner of the tracker check at the end that all is well with everyone’s stamps. (Which honestly had never occurred to me.)

I’ve already gone back to all my completed postal ring trackers to mark those stamps as found.

The box you linked, Rubaduc #56 Duc Loves the River, is my box. I saw the photo on the Reddit page, and that is not my box. There is another box in the park, https://www.atlasquest.com/boxes/clue/?boxId=354285 Perhaps it is that one. I will check on my box ASAP.

Not sure if I already suggested this? When recording finds for a long series of boxes it would be nice to have a "select all" button or check box to avoid the drudgery of manually selecting each box individually. You could then edit the selection for the one or two boxes you missed. Does that make sense?

I asked for this a couple years ago. Let's see if the idea gets any traction this time.

I like first finder prizes! I still have the ones I have found over the years. Periodically, I will include one of my LTC's that I have created as a first finder prize.

Even though it would save time if we could select all of the boxes, I think it would result in many more accidental “finds” of boxes that are actually missing. That’s a problem for those future finders who tend to spend waaay too much time looking for a box if the previous finder said it was there, especially if the box had previously been marked as missing.

I’ve been burned by this more than once and wasn’t too happy with the person who marked it as found.

I also would like to see this as a function.

If this was added as a feature, I would only want to see it on boxes that are connected to events.

Yes, I agree that makes sense, but it’s probably tricky to code when some event series are permanent plants.

The pictured box looks to be a Boy/Cub Scout box of some kind. I did a cursory check of LbNA boxes in Seymour and didn't see a likely listing, but the information card references letterboxing.org. Anybody have a contact with Pack 65 of the Housatonic Council?

I couldn't understand why my box 345755 was not getting any activity while my series 309043 was. They are in the same location and connected in theme. When I did a nearby box search using either one of them, the other one wasn't listed, but on both of the boxes 296408 was listed, which is also in the same location. No wonder no one is looking for 345755! What's happening?

I don't know why 345755 isn't getting any activity. But for the three boxes you mention, if I search for nearby boxes on any one of them, I get the other two you mention at the top of the results. And if I search directly on the address listed on all three boxes, I get those three at the top of the results.

I tried again and it did the same thing. So i checked the search and it seems to default to hide my plants. When I removed that it showed up as you said. Is it a search default to hide plants? I'll have to try to remember that. Thanks for checking.
