I hate to post this knowing how inadequate Wassamatta u has felt this past weekend, however, I must share/brag/gloat/cheer.

Background: Bad last two weeks. Mentally Im in a funk. As in: bathing is optional, Bon bons and soaps. Crabby and irritable? That doesn't even cut it. Financially we've had our wings clipped and I"ve been a big baby about it. I believe I stamped my foot once, even.

So today my husband calls from work and says: "I have a letterbox of sorts for you. It's one day only. Go to (our town) Main St. What you seek is in a holding box with your name on it. You have about three hours." So I actually showered and got my butt out of the door. I went (hopefully) to a jewelry store in town and they were puzzled. Then to a great women's clothing store to no avail. A cool art coop shop, nothing. A music store, nada. Finally I end up at the Art Store. THE art store that I"ve been complaining I don't have money to go to so I can finish a few letterboxes and the altered book I'm working on. And LO! There was a pretty hefty Gift Certificate waiting for me!! I couldn't believe it. I was torn between "How dare he spend that money on such a witchy wife when there are other priorities?!" and "hmmm, where do I start?" "Where do I start?" won over and I promptly spent the whole thing.

I'm telling you ladies, never underestimate a bad funk....my husband broke the bank to get me showered and out of the house!

I guess I need to go give my new Mastercarve....er, I mean husband a big hug....

I wish my husband read any of these e-mails....dewdrop your life sounds like a xerox copy of ours here lately with the holiday and all it has been a challenge just to keep the lungs inflated sometimes but then there they go in out in out....breathing jsut like they do....

Congrats on your great gift...enjoy you gift, rollin it and give you hubby a big wet sloppy one! He deserves it for knowing his sweetheart so well!!!

Thanks for the encouraging words...it's just life, ya know...up and down and I am very fortunate that Ihave so much...I can just be a baby sometimes...my mantra: Half FULL NOT Half Empty.... or as my daughter says (from Finding Nemo) "Just keep swimming, mom..."
