As most of you may know, my husband was a fireman, until last Christmas Eve he was called out and hit by a train before he got there. To sum it up he had over 20 broken bones over 2000 staples and stiches and stayed on life support for 3 weeks. We have had to learn how to deal with everything that is wrong with him now. He had to learn how to walk again and ect. He still can't cut his food or dress hisself....stuff like that. He had been having major headaches and when he would get over one of the headaches I would notice that his blood vessels in his eyes would burst. So I took him back to the DR. Tuesday and he seems to think that scar tissue has built up in his head and he is one step away from having seizures. If that happens it could kill him. They are getting him ready for another MRI. If it conferms their fear, he will be undergoing brain surgery. I do not care "who" you pray to just pray for us. Maybe hug your mate and tell them a extra time today that you love them. Even though I have never seen any of you, this is a great bunch of people, joined together, doing what we love. I just wanted y'all to know and maybe get an extra prayer to the man upstairs.

I can't think of a better post to make as my first one, so here goes...

I am a Registered Nurse and a Christian and your story is very compelling. You will certainly be added to my personal prayer list and I will also tell others to add you to theirs. Just as a little bit of hope though, a friend of mine (from another club I am in) just recently had brain surgery to remove a recurrent brain tumor. I understand your husband's potential surgery is much more tricky. Long story short, after only 2 days from his surgery, he was already sitting up and talking and now after just a few weeks post surgery, is walking and doing extensive rehab and planning to move back home very soon. Best of wishes in all you face and may God Bless you in whatever happens.

Oh, Kim, I will certainly be praying for you both.

You know I have been thinking about this since reading your post about your situation and I just don't quite think praying for your family is enough for me. Being the holidays and the holiday spirit in us all I would like to make an offer and I challenge all others who read this to do the same. I was wondering if you could get a pay pal account if you do not already have one where I can make a donation to help with any sort of medical bills and or Christmas shopping. I am sure the financial strain of having all these bills and then your husband not being able to work is immense. I would like to start a sort of an online benefit for your husband. I, too, will add you and your husband (and family) to my prayers. I can slightly appreciate what you are going through as my DH had a bad accident at work 13 years ago. It was touch and go as far as if he would be able to get around on his own or even sit in a chair, but things are much better now. Prayer has helped in so many ways.
