Well, we finally did it, we planted our very first box!!! I'm so nervous and excited, I could puke! ;) The Baby It's Cold Outside Letterbox is out there on it's own, and I am having to fight the urge to go out and make sure it's still there! I'm so afraid of it being trashed!!!!

Here's hoping that a LBer actually goes out there and finds it!!!! :D

Thanks!!! :)

It is fun, and will be alot more fun once someone finds it! I know that it's silly to be worried that no one will come, but I am. My kids will be devastated! Not that I'm trying to guilt anyone into coming to find it! I don't want anyone to think that! We are a little "out of the way" down here, and I really wanted to start some boxes. Now we have a couple of more "locals", so hopefully, there will be more to come!

I've already got plans for a small series that I hope to plant in the Spring!!!! :)

Don't worry Electric City Four!

If you plant it.....they will come :) !!!

(And the better you plant it and clue it, the less of a chance it will be muggled!)

Congratulations !

Oh, WE'LL be there for sure! I'm just trying to be patient and wait for ERVetChick to come home for Christmas so we can do it together. (and maybe LeatherHead and Bratt too!)

We'll be there Moonshowr, and I'm sure many others as well! I LOVE LOVE LOVE the idea of a night box in the Christmas Lights and can't stand waiting to go after it. Just minutes after you posted I'd already emailed the clue to everyone in the family. <laughing>

It is so exciting, I just went and checked on both of ours that were only just recently planted, but I needed to check in on them!

*Clapping excitedly while doing the Happy Dance*

Yea, yea, yea!!!! I'm so glad that the box is enticing people!!!! Come find it, come find it!!!! :D
I don't like waiting for you guys to come, either! ;)

LOL....that is hilarious! E-mailed it to everyone....heehee!

Now that it's rained, gonna have to go and check on it tomorrow to make sure it isn't visible! Ack! I have to try and stay away from it, so no one will mess with it! Must....resist....checking...everyday! I'd hate to be the reason my own box got muggled!!!! :(

I hear you. I have to keep away as my forst boxes have been right in and around the area that I am in everyday. Two are right across from the market where we shop for the milk/juice type of things! Everytime we head out, I have to keep the car headed in the direction of our house and not across the street from the market!

I think it is a natural tendency, but a more seasoned boxer might disagree! Oh well, I am an emotional wimp about lots of things!

We will be sure and put it on our list to do soon!! I can't wait.
We finally had a first finder on our first plant last weekend. Only they aren't registered with atlasquest, pooh!!
Watch out, planting gets as addicting as finding. I can't stop thinking of new places to plant!

Congrats on finally getting a first finder!! How long did it take for someone to find it?

Oh, I already have some ideas for some more! I have to do a little research for those, so they will probably have to wait for warmer weather! :(

It took about three weeks. For all this time I have been watching my logbook with bated breath. Finally I got an email about the box. Oddly, it was someone I know! She had no idea who dtandfambly was! I was just glad that the clues actually led to the box. For the last few hides, I had my kids follow my clues to see if they could find it. I figure if they can, then my directions must be OK! LOL!

I'm hoping that since this is limited time, it'll be sooner! I know not to expect anyone to run out tonight and find it, but within the next couple of days would be great! ;)

I was, and still am, really nervous about the clues. I LOVE carving stamps, and really enjoyed making my logbook, but the clues are not a big strong point with me! I had the hubby go out and try to find the spot before I actually hid the box. He isn't as interested in the hobby as I am, so I figured if he could find it, I did a pretty good job! LOL!!!!

moonshowr~~ who is trying hard to keep herself from checking my logbook, and mailbox every time I walk past the computer!

We finally had a "first finder" register on AQ this weekend for our first plant - which was back in JULY!! Now I knew one family had found it - I put post cards in it to send to us, and they sent one, just a few days after we planted it. But since then......nada.......... it has almost 200 clue hits, but not one actually logged it in. It's about 6 hours away from us, so not an easy check ;-))

I actually planted two at the same time - I fear the other is gone - but not surprised, I did a really lousy job placing it. Live and learn! But I'm recarving for next summer's vacation!!

Congrats on the first finder, dtandfambly!!
