Dixie's Been Gone - A Summary

Poor Dixie. She has been away from the AQ boards for several days, and has no idea what is going on. Since there must be literally THOUSANDS of posts to catch up on, I thought, as a Public Service Announcement (or rather, as a Dixie Service Announcement) that I would provide a modest summary of what has transpired over the last few days....

- It was generally decided, with Halloween just around the corner, that LBers should no longer be carving rubber, rather we will all switch to pumpkins. The downside, of course, is that we have to find REALLY REALLY BIG Lock-N-Locks for our plants.

- Ryan announced that he is selling Atlas Quest to Google for 3.72 Billion dollars. Ryan intends to invest the money in Real Estate, and is buying the Appalachian Trail.

- wassamatta_u made a really inane, stupid, inappropriate post. 43 times.

- A Gathering was announced in <insert State here>. Many people announced how excited they were by the announced Gathering. Afterwards, they announced how fun it was. Several announcements were made thanking the Organizers. Cooties were spread like pollen in the wind (though they were unannounced).

- A thread started about Daylight Savings Time, and how we all get an extra hour. 3 hours were spent READING all the entries in the thread, leaving a total deficit of 2 hours.

- After hundreds of different suggestions (none of which actually work), it was decided by concensus that the only way to stamp a really big stamp is to carve directly on a large inkpad.

- Most Letterboxers are dressing up for Halloween. Apparently, we are a juvenile bunch.

- And finally, it was unanimously decided that AQ Boards have been missing something vital the last few days... welcome back, Dixie!!!!

Now why didn't I think of that?

ok, we need to separate fact from fiction here...wassa is just too good at writing believable and hilarious fiction...

most of that extremely lengthy post was actually true, except that we didn't think of carving on stamp pads, and if Ryan is selling our beloved home out from under us, he's too craven to admit it. And nothing I've sen so far would indicate that ryan has a yellow streak. (except, perhaps, his unnatural fondness for chicks...but then, all guys like chicks, yes??)

more beautiful writing, wassa, keep it up! the writing, I mean.

but expect commentary from me on each and every long piece you write. don't think you have me fooled...you wil not gete ahead of me at whatpulse by acquiring rights to a daily column updating people on what's ben happening at atlas quest. ;-) but keep trying.

I don't have to be away for days for that phenomena to happen?? :~)

Quote Ryan announced that he is selling Atlas Quest to Google for 3.72 Billion dollars. Ryan intends to invest the money in Real Estate, and is buying the Appalachian Trail.

I just hope "THE Google" keeps it running like GT ;)
and...maybe Ryan can take the .72 part and split it up among us active AQ members. 8-)

was this intentional??
or maybe secondary to eye strain from watching little blinking eyes and ghosts on the AQ pages?
or was it just a side-effect to be on the internets too long??

Quote A thread started about Daylight Savings Time, and how we all get an extra hour. 3 hours were spent READING all the entries in the thread, leaving a total deficit of 2 hours.

I think it would take me about 2 days to read the 400 plus posts i have missed but by then there will be another 400 plus posts of which I will continue to know nothing about...or I could just pretend to understand as usual. :-0

so...I look at the time set back as just that...less daylight late in the day make Dixie a sad puppy...unless I can find a victim to go out to the cemeteries, or Judaculla rock, or the tunnel... with at night.

Awwwwwwee!!!
*making sound as if seeing cute little puppies doing cute little irresistable things*
how sweet is that??!!

*big hug*

Dixie - who has realized that her posts are not funny and silly like the used to be before the bad news about my son's shoulder. I do hope I find my old lightheartedness lying around here somewhere so I can pick it up and put it back to good use.

-wassamatta_u, that was wonderfull and on target. I hope that when I have been computerless for a few days, you will sum up the recent posts for me. Catching up is daunting, which rhymes with haunting....hmmmm a hinky-pinky... Clue: Anticipated as difficult- a ghostly activity=daunting haunting.

One syllable rhymes are hink-pinks. Three or more = hinkity-pinkity
