ok...here goes...
my kids say this is just yet another one of my hillbilly or redneck ways of
rigging something up or getting something to work...
wanna transfer inkjet images to PZcut almost flawlessly???

got any carburetor cleaner???
or in today's terms...intake manifold and injector cleaner!!

I have small can of it that has lasted me forever.
I use an injet printer but I am betting that any will probably do.
lay your image down on the PZ.
hold it firmly in place and have the flat end of a xacto knife handle etc
handy.

just squirt out tiny dabs of the carb cleaner onto the back of the image
paper and rub it around a bit with your finger until all parts of the image
is wet a bit...not saturated or puddling but wet. Now, use the end of the
xacto handle, tip flat (not on edge) to burnish or RUB the back of the
paper. I rub it firm but not HARD and long enough to where the paper is
satrting to dry a bit. the image ALWAYS transfers for me.

this does NOT work on some materials at all and even makes some stuff mooshy
and gummy...but it is awesome on PZcut. I get ALL the detail.
I have been doing this for months.

I have almost posted about this several times but I know how worried some of you are about chemicals and fumes etc. I do not recomend children using any kind of chemical...even bug spray for that matter...but for you grown-ups...if you want that image to transfer...a $2 can of carb cleaner from the auto parts section will last you a long time.

I come from an old time family who used to clean all our car and engine parts with
gasoline...so using carb cleaner doesn't seem harsh to me. I even use it for a couple other things I wont mention here ;-)

There ya go...
I finally spilled the beans...that is my secret to transfering images.
:-)

I've been waiting for you to give that up ever since you hinted you had a secret, 'dangerous', chemical you used....

::adding it to the shopping list::

thanks Dixie, I as well went crazy when you would not spill the beens last time, but I was new here then and was afraid that if I crawled threw the internet to peek into your carving area for clues I would be banished for sure.

Now what made her talk this time we might want to remember it for future use if she holds out on us again. he he ;)

You said inkjet images, which are a different critter than laser prints (lasers are heat-transferred toner). I just wanna make sure I know which you're talking about, because I have an inkjet at home and it would be nice to not have to remember to print stuff at work. I could think up an image at 11:00pm and be carving it by 11:30pm (not that I have started carving then, of course.........)

Obviously somebody hasn't visited my site:

I've been using an inkjet exclusively, no chemicals needed.
