The Colon Story!

Ok... I have told the story about 4 times in the past 2 days... and still have more requests to re-tell the whole "How did the Fearless Colon Start". Soooo, here it is!!

Wassa, Goofy Girl, myself (and I think a couple more people, speak up if you were there!) were in the chat room. I, of course, was in my own little fluffy world playing "what new meanings of acronyms can I come up with". Eventually, Goofy said FC (meaning fluffy cows, actually) and I started typing words. Like: Funny Cricket, Famous Chair... I got a little stuck at one point and typed Fearless in the little box and waited for a "C" word to come to me... well... it came. I typed the first thing that popped into my head and hit enter. It was oddly surprising when I saw the two words together... Fearless Colon. Goofy lost it, Wassa declared it worthy of an award. I asked what KIND of award. (A major award??) Later, Wassa sent me this link. Silly me... I thought that meant I would actually RECEIVE said award...

The rest? Well, you know.

Thanks. I've been mulling what a fearless colon award might entail (and the images were NOT pretty) Glad to have this mystery solved.

Wassa, for pity's sake give Fluffy Cow her Colon already!!! Then you too might become the proud possessor of a Wassa bribe card. Truly a LTC of beauty.

As with many other punctuation marks, the usage of colon varies among languages and, for a given language, among historical periods. As a rule, however, a colon informs the reader what follows proves and explains, or simply enumerates elements of what is referred to before...

So, you're saying Wassa only needs to create a card with 2 dots stamped on it?!?

HPL ;o)

Don't be silly! It's not nearly as easy as that... they would have to be FEARLESS dots!

It's all a matter of interpretation, my friend; after all, it would be pretty fearless to send Fluffy Cow a card with only 2 dots on it!! ;o)

You mean to tell me that those two dots aren't only there for making the eyes on a smiley face? :-)

Parker could not fist properly: he was drunk.

Was this good news or bad news for Parker's significant other?

I've actually seen a "2-dot" stamp.

It was Rick in Boca's intriguing little hitchhiker "2-Hole Punch"

"Here's to college ruled two-hole punched lined notebooks"
