Letterboxing/School Nightmare

I had a nightmare last night that was a variant on the classic "Going to school to take a test, but can't find the classroom/my supplies/forgot to study/I'm late" nightmare.

In this version, the 'exam' is to locate 20 letterboxes on a college campus, and there is a strict time limit. In each letterbox is the answer for one of the questions on the bubble-sheet multiple choice exam. Box #1 might be "b", Box #2 "d", etc. I have trouble finding the starting location and am late. I finally get to the right spot and take out my clues, which turn out to be a big wad of crumpled papers stapled together.

I am horrified to remember that I had not finished assembling the clues properly and the papers were mostly a bunch of unrelated papers, with some random clues here and there. I frantically rifled through the papers looking for the first clue. I'm running out of time, OMG, I'm going to fail, fail, FAIL! I am crushed with the realization and am about to cry, when...

... my alarm clock goes off. Heh, heh, that was silly. I was never so happy to get up and go to work!

That nightmare gave me an interesting idea for a letterboxing clue.

Also, I had a nightmare the other night that I was going to high school, but I ended up far away in a big pavilion with a ton of famous letterboxers who oddly looked like teachers and students in my school. When I went to start doing exchanges and finding boxes, I realized that my logbook was full. By the time I found a new one lying on the ground, I looked up and found my self back in school. Then I woke up and remembered that it was still vacation.

OMG! I am currently finishing up my college degree (at the ripe old age of 39) and I can totally relate to your story! It's a good thing Sarcasmo reads these blogs and sends them to me, I don't normally read or partake in them because I'm too busy studying. But graduation is near--I look forward to having a letterboxing conundrum like the one you dreamed about! Thanks for sharing!!! Stinkerbell

Wouldn't it be cool if one of your finals actually involved finding letterboxes with the answers to the questions?

I've heard the "unprepared panic dream", often involving school, means you feel unprepared for something. I often found that to be true, although I'm often unprepared for things so maybe it's just a coincidence ;-)
