Mountain Mysteries & Legends Event is ALWAYS a great day !!! Today was no exception. Although a bit chilly, it was bright and sunny & NO RAIN until we were on the way out of town !!!! THANK YOU DIXIE GREAT BIG SEEKERS HUGS

Our day started out early, meeting up with GOOFY GIRL and her kids, who drove in from Oklahoma ..... we knew of a park nearby that had boxes we could get before the event.
Well, we told her to "FOLLOW US" and we hopped in the car. She really follows instructions well..... a little TOOOO well !!! We had a little fender bender..... coming off the exit on the way to the park. THE SEEKER MOBILE did not fare too well against THE GOOFY MOBILE.
OUCH. We had to put BAND-AIDS on our trunk to hold it shut........... (CAMO DUCT TAPE..... are we letterboxers, or WHAT?)
We did what all good friends would have done..... we teased her and gave her a hard time about it all day. All in fun. Accidents Happen !!

After we got all bandaged up and on our way to the event..... I started laughing.......
SEE ??? It's not just ME ....... I'm not the ONLY one who can't see my car !!!
Must be a DB thang!!

Anyway...... after the fender bender...... we found 6 letterboxes before it was time to go to the event.
We all had a grand time. Princess Minty and Star Commander (The Goofy yung'uns) made some new friends and had fun playing. They did manage to make time to letterbox a little bit in between. We enjoyed the kids..... they were a lot of fun.

I tagged along with SuzieCurls and her group...... while MR SEEKER does what he does best. I know he was doing a LOT of what he does best, because we could hear him laughing from way over on the other side of the park !!! LOL. He got some exchanges, but mostly just did a lot of "SOCIALIZING" & LTC Trading.

There was a TON of food.... as always !!
We met some new friends...... Mom2two......KitKat.....Sparky and Undiscovered singer.... and CAT FACE, who were visiting the area from GA and decided to join us.
We saw a lot of our other friends too !!! Dina B. got SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MANY HUGS !!!!!! WOOOO HOOOOOOOOOO !!

Thank you all for a wonderful day ! We are once again reminded today..... how truly blessed we are to have found this crazy hobby of letterboxing ..... to have met such awesome friends !!!!

It was such a fast and furious time exchanging that I met myself and stamped my signature stamp in my own logbook! LOL!

I agree that it was a fabulous time and thanks again to Dixie for putting so much effort into making the boxes fun to find. I loved the shovel and digging for buried pirate's treasure.

Mstrwndl's boxes were fantastic and a totally fabulous series.

The event stamp and logbook was a dream's fancy come to life. Absolutely stunning work. I thought the stamps were a complete treasure and then to see the logbook that was worth a king's ransom was unbelievable. Thanks Ravenwolf for sharing your talents with North Carolina!!!

Funny, I did the same thing. I had 3 of the same type books in front of me at the same time and just stamped them all.

And another reason I just use index cards. No evidence.

I had a great time too, even without my sidekick Jester, who ran circles around me for five minutes, then brought me the "red man" to throw several times. Currently he is glued to my lap.

Thanks to Knit Wit, who let me go boxing with her. She and I are so clever we found the shovel for Pirate's Plunder without even reading a clue. Must be that planter's eye.

I felt terrible that I didn't bring any letterboxes to plant, especially since I saw so many great spots begging for one, but I've got a freshly painted living room instead, and some great box ideas. I'll just have to make a special trip to plant and get some of the dozens of boxes I couldn't do. Can you say OD?

Thanks to Baby Fox for joining the planter's club. She did a wonderful job on the Little Cross.

Finally, thanks to Dixie, who is just as wonderful in person as I knew she would be. I've got so many new box ideas, thanks to the clever pouch on a wire....*rubbing hands together in anticipation*

Thanks for asking if you could come. It was fun.

An absolutely wonderful event as usual. 2fist4 even got in on the fun with his clever Pirate's Plunder. That has to have been the most fun I've ever had trying to find a box. I almost felt myself slipping into my Jack Sparrow voice. :-)

Saw lots of good friends and met some more. Finally met Nanni and, yes, she sat next to Dixie for the whole day and the universe is still intact.
